Top 10 Must See Artists At Outside Lands 2018

| July 31, 2018

Now in its 11th year, the festival will return to San Francisco’s historic Golden Gate Park on August 10-12th, once again showcasing a world class music, art and comedy lineup alongside the best of the Bay Area’s food, wine and beer.

As The Guardian wrote, Outside Lands fans “come for the music and stay for the food.” The festival’s 2018 culinary program will continue to expand and this year fans will have access to over 200 menu items from the best Bay Area restaurants, hundreds of Northern Californian wines and beers and a collection of the region’s best cocktail bars.

Outside Lands’ distinct food and drink experiences that excite the senses will also return, including Taste of the Bay Area, Wine Lands, Beer Lands, The Back Wine, Cocktail Magic, and GastroMagic. The Outside Lands 2018 food and drink lineup will be announced soon. Please visit www.sfoutsidelands.com for updates.

Besides great food is also great music. Choosing which sets to catch can be hard, so here are 10 must see artists at Outside Lands 2018.

1. ODESZA

EDM's favoriate Washington duo will be coming to the Fog city and I'm looking forward to a great performance. If you've been lucky enough to follow their A Moment Apart Tour, you know what I'm talking about.

2. Mac DeMarco

Mac DeMarco is deemed the Post Malone of the indie music scene and an Outside Lands veteran. His mellow acoustic and vibe is perfect for a laid back city like San Francisco.

3. DJ Snake

I've Seen DJ Snake a handful of times and he's never been a disappointment. Each time was better than the rest. The artist recently released and in March 2018, Billboard named DJ Snake as number nine on their 2018 ranking of dance musicians titled Billboard Dance 100.

4. Gryffin

If you missed him at Electric Forest this year, Gryffin will be at Outside Lands this year with all the feels before he heads off to Europe for his 2018 tour.

5. Illenium

I'm completely biased when it comes to Illenium because of his feelsy bangers. Have you ever gone to an Illenium set without feeling like being attacked by a wave of sadness that you didn't even know was there? Exactly.

6. Elohim

The literally angel of the EDM scene. As someone who's been going to her shows since her smaller shows at the Echoplex, to opening for EDEN's , play at Coachella, and touring 2018, it's been an emotional ride to see her get the recognition she so clearly deserve.

7. Billie Eilish

The 16 years old R&B artist completely side stepped away from the typical teen pop genre with her "don't smile at me" and recent release "you should see me in a crown."

8. Viceroy

A true SF native, Austen Afridi continues to catch us off guard with his performances by constantly changing it up with each show and tour. Now performing at his favorite festival, Outside Lands.

9. Goldlink

The rapper's new release "Got Friends" is climbing the Spotify charts and I wouldn't be too surprised if he brought out Miguel for it.

10. Lauv

You know, if you want to cry to Illenium and Lauv, no one would blame you. The festival will be providing great food and drinks to help you.
