| March 24, 2022

At last, Ultra Music Festival is only a few days away from splashing down in Miami, Florida. The world’s premier electronic music festival features elite DJs and unparalleled production that will transport its attendees to a whole new reality. With so many stages and so many gifted artists, the 2022 lineup will host a number of stand-out talents like Boris Brejcha, Carl Cox, Nicky Romero, and more.

Check out iEDM's 10 Must-See Acts At Ultra Music Festival 2022 below.

Adam Beyer

Adam Beyer is the figurehead of the techno community, and an absolute must-see at this year's Ultra. Having established three of the biggest techno labels, Drumcode, Truesoul, and Madeye, Adam Beyer has consistently delivered cutting edge music across them. From Stockholm, Sweden, Adam Beyer has made an appearance in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs nine times and consecutively over the last four years. Tracks like “Space Date,” “Your Mind,” and “Dirty Lagoon” will alter your reality during this hypnotic performance.

Boris Brejcha

If you are into deep techno, trance, and minimal, then Boris Brejcha is a name you are guaranteed to know. If the name is unfamiliar to you, then you know the face. During his sets, he wears a joker mask based on a Carnival of Venice design. The German artist defines his music style as “high-tech minimal”. Boris Brejcha has performed at clubs and festivals around the world, from Tomorrowland to Ibiza. Witness an unrivaled experience when going to his three hour headlining set at The Cove Stage on Friday night.

CamelPhat

Made up of Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala, CamelPhat came together after meeting at a Liverpool record shop. Their 2018 track “Cola” with Elderbrook was nominated for Best Dance Recording at the Grammys and led them to winning House Artist of the Year at the DJ Awards. The UK natives released their debut album Dark Matter in 2020 and have grown their fan base exponentially since then. Let them take control of your body at The Cove stage on Saturday.

Carl Cox

Of all the amazing acts at Ultra, Carl Cox is predicted to be most spectacular. The British producer is nicknamed the King of Ibiza, a champion of techno, and a dance music pioneer. Buying his first set of turntables at the age of 15, the EDM veteran has over 30 years of experience in formulating mystifying sets. Carl Cox will be headlining at The Megastructure all three days of Ultra. His most anticipated set will be his first ever hybrid set consisting of a DJ set and a live set with sequencers, drum machines, and modular synthesizers on Saturday.

Jauz B2B NGHTMRE

There is no way to properly prepare for the set that Jauz and NGHTMRE will be dropping at the Worldwide Stage on Saturday. The bass-heavy producers are sure to bring the energy with their riddim-fueled tracks and chaotic bass drops. Each artist on their own puts on sets that instill FOMO in anyone not attending. In terms of genre and style, the two performers are a match created by the dubstep gods. It is recommended to add 10-15 reminders in your phone with their set time, this is not one you can afford to skip out on.

John Summit

John Summit has quickly become one of the hottest names in dance music following the success of “Deep End” in June 2020. Since the Defected Records track put him on the map, he has released a series of groundbreaking originals and addictive remixes. With over three million monthly Spotify listeners, John Summit is also the highest-selling artist across Beatport in the last year. His list of achievements speaks for itself. The only way to truly understand his raw talent is to watch him mix his top tracks like “Beauty Sleep” and his remix of Sofi Tukker’s “Drinkee”.

Nicky Romero

Nicky Romero has become a household name in the EDM industry throughout his long career as a DJ and producer. Hailing from the Netherlands, Nicky Romero achieved his first rise in popularity after releasing his single “Toulouse” in 2012. He has collaborated with some of the most renowned artists in the electronic world, such as Avicii and Tiësto. Get ready to hear a melting pot of his new releases blended with his early hits.

Pendulum

Pendulum is the epitome of drum & bass. Founded in 2002 in the city of Perth, Australia, the primary members were Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen, and Paul “El Hornet” Harding. Swite and McGrillen also formed the well known electro-house duo Knife Party, which they use elements of when performing as Pendulum. Their sound is a one-of-a-kind crossbreeding result of merging electronic music with hard rock. Come to the Live Stage for the headlining set on Friday to see these rock stars in action.

Vintage Culture B2B Claptone

This back to back is an exclusive combo that will be talked about for years to come. On one end we have one of the most influential Brazilian artists of his generation, Vintage Culture. On the other end is the mysteriously masked Claptone, a German producer who keeps his identity a secret. This is only Claptone’s second time playing a B2B, so it should be something out of a fantasy. Catch these well-respected DJs mix unbelievable Brazilian bass with indescribable tech house tracks.

Zeds Dead

Last on our list is the Canadian electronic music duo of Dylan Mamid and Zachary Rapp-Rovan. Together they created Zeds Dead, one of the biggest names in electronic music. They represent a little bit of every genre in their music, such as elements of UK garage, house, hip-hop, glitch, drum and bass, and dubstep. They have been touring throughout North America and internationally for over 10 years and continue to produce unforgettable sets that differentiate from one another. Their newest hits “Gassed Up” and “Alive” will most likely be on display when they take on the headlining set at the Worldwide Stage to close out Ultra.
