Here Is The 420 Event Guide For 2018

| March 29, 2018

As more states pass recreational laws, 420 continues to grow as a celebrated holiday for stoners. It's a time to gather together and smoke one. It doesn't matter your age, gender or race, sharing a doobie unites us all.

Let's unite for "One Love" because Bob Marley said it best. "When you smoke the herb it reveals you to yourself."

Here are some popular 420 events to *get elevated* and listen to great music.

1. Sweetwater 420 Festival in Atlanta, GA

The first year I attended Sweetwater, I wondered how a 420 event could be thrown in state that wasn't recreational, but they do it! The lineup gets better and better year after year. This year features two sets from String Cheese Incident and Umphrey's McGee. If you are a bluegrass and jam band lover, this is the 420 lineup for you. Drink some Sweetwater 420 downtown ATL to groovy tunes.

2. 420 On The Block in Denver, CO

This event spans across the whole weekend of 420, blasting off Friday with an extra special collaborative performance from Break Science Live Band. Michal Menert, Supervision and Chris Karns will be reppin' the Pretty Lights Movement. Saturday features Action Bronson and Washed Out, then Sunday you can feel the reggae vibes from Matisyahu. Three day passes start at only $59 and one day options are available for $25, and don't miss the superjam afterparty at the Gothic Theatre.

3. Rooster Kickoff To April in Denver, CO

Launch your 420 month of celebrations with the Rooster Kickoff To April Party at Temple Nightclub. The event begins with an award show honoring the top strains, concentrates and dispensaries for best of Colorado. Paper Diamond will headline the night for an epic performance on Denver's best new nightclub's booming Funktion Ones.

4. Mile High 420 Festival

Smoke some Bob Marley while listening to the The Wailers on 4/20. This FREE event takes place downtown Denver in Civic Center Park. Lil' Wayne will have a smokin' performance, and scream YEAH because Lil' Jon will be be DJing.

5. Cannabis Cup in San Bernadino, CA

The High Times Cannabis Cup is one of the most recognized 420 events and awards in the country, and now that California is recreational, this event is a must. Every year, they feature the best strains, hybrids, wax... you name it. They have live music and seminars, vendors and even culinary experiences.

6. 420 Hippie Hill in San Francisco, CA

Gather together and blow one down with your friends at "Hippie Hill" inside Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. This yearly tradition to blaze in the park on 420 started in the 70s, but 2018 is the first year that it's actually legal in California. The first 5k people to register will even get a commemorative t-shirt, so sign up and roll up.

7. 420 Eve On The Rocks in Morrison, CO

'Twas the night before 420 and all the stoners came out, to get blazed like Wutang while Method Man shouts. Launch your 420 weekend at the best outdoor venue in American, Red Rocks Amphitheater on Thursday with 311, Method Man and Redman, Chali 2na and more.
