[LISTEN] VEIL Unleashes Electrifying Single 'RESPAWN,' Ahead Of Debut Album, ‘HIGH VOLTAGE’

As anticipation builds for her debut album HIGH VOLTAGE, VEIL has released the first single, “RESPAWN,” a powerful bass-driven track that offers a glimpse into the immersive world of her upcoming project.

This track sets the stage for a groundbreaking full-length album, scheduled for release in November 2024 via her renowned bass label, Street Ritual.

“RESPAWN” introduces listeners to the character AZAL, the central figure in a story that unfolds throughout the HIGH VOLTAGE album. AZAL finds herself in a mysterious realm called THE HOLLOW, a liminal space where time and reality are distorted, and where transformation and power become key themes.

VEIL takes on the role of the storyteller, using her signature fusion of heavy bass, cinematic soundscapes, and dark, experimental production to bring this narrative to life.

The track itself embodies the energy and intensity that fans have come to expect from VEIL’s unique style. With rumbling low-end bass and hypnotic rhythms, “RESPAWN” explores the deeper layers of AZAL’s journey, serving as an entry point into the complex world VEIL has created.

VEIL explained her creative process and the inspiration behind “RESPAWN,” saying, “The cyberworld was her tomb, and she would respawn forever, endlessly cycling through the same broken existence, lost in a purgatory of corrupted code, trapped in a world where nothing truly lived and nothing ever died.”

This quote encapsulates the existential weight carried by AZAL, making the track not just a listening experience but a glimpse into the profound narrative VEIL aims to explore through HIGH VOLTAGE.

As part of her vision for HIGH VOLTAGE, VEIL is also collaborating with visual artists to enhance the album’s thematic elements. 5/9 and Towr Media have contributed innovative visuals, ensuring that the album is not just an auditory journey but a visual one as well.

These custom visuals, paired with VEIL’s dynamic sound, promise to create a fully immersive experience for her audience, both during live performances and through the album’s release.

“RESPAWN” is a key element in setting the tone for HIGH VOLTAGE, showcasing VEIL’s ability to fuse different genres like dubstep, leftfield, and other bass-focused subgenres into one cohesive, boundary-pushing project. Its release is just the beginning of what promises to be a transformative experience for listeners.

In addition to the single, VEIL has a packed schedule of performances, including appearances at major festivals like EDC Orlando, Cyclops Cove, and Radiance NYE in Chicago.

Her highly anticipated album release party will take place at Meow Wolf in Denver, providing fans with the first full live experience of HIGH VOLTAGE’s narrative-driven journey.
