The Original 2013 Dirtybird Players Tour Returns Highlighting A New Wave of Underground House Artists

| April 17, 2023

Claude VonStroke announces the return of the ‘Dirtybird Players Tour’ for a 14-date run with a fresh class of underground house acts.  Back in 2013, Claude VonStroke appeared on the cover of Mixmag with a bunch of up-and-coming DJs called the “Dirtybird Players.” The lineup included some of house music’s biggest future stars like Eats Everything and Catz n Dogz. Ten years later, a new slate of players will showcase their talents on the road with Claude, re-making the original underground vibe of the ‘Dirtybird Players Tour’ with all new future superstars of the scene.

Who will be the next superstar to break out of the label? This year’s ‘Dirtybird Players’ Tour will be marked by special performances including an official takeover at Ultra Music Festival’s Resistance Cove stage on Sunday, March 26th. The Dirtybird Players stage takeover will feature additional appearances by Walker & Royce, Shiba San, VNSSA, and Kyle Kinch. The tour will also feature a hometown celebration at The Midway in San Francisco honoring Claude VonStroke’s birthday on July 7th. More dates are still to be announced.Claude is coming off of his 2022 ‘Your Dad plays Great Music Tour’, which treated fans to lo-fi production and open-to-close sets at every venue. This year, he anchors the ‘Dirtybird Players Tour’ and just like in 2013, “It’s going to be a chance to really showcase what the fun vibe of Dirtybird is all about. I cannot wait to serve some fat ass desserts on the dancefloor.” Speaking of fun, the artwork for the tour is quite playful and was created by the 2023 Dirtybird visual artist, Nicholas Barrome. Hailing from France, Barrome is part of the Dirtybird ‘Artists In Residence’ program, which has featured prominent surrealist artists throughout the world over the last decade. The highly original look and feel is a palette of organic colorful creatures straight out of a neon version of Little Shop of Horrors. Fans can enjoy select sounds from the tour with a brand new ‘Dirtybird Players’ music compilation featuring artists like Nala, Ardalan, Mike Kerrigan, N808, Arnold & Lane, and many more due out April 7th on Dirtybird Records.
