Pacho & Pepo continue to refine their artistic identity with “Maitu,” a deeply immersive Afro House release that highlights the duo’s evolution toward more intentional, emotionally driven production.

Out via Ellectrica Recordings, the track captures the balance they have been steadily shaping between dancefloor functionality and storytelling, merging hypnotic rhythm, organic textures, and expressive vocals into a single cohesive experience.

The foundation of “Maitu” took shape instrumentally, with Pacho & Pepo focusing first on groove, atmosphere, and movement. Built around a deep Afro House framework, the track establishes a warm yet commanding pulse before introducing its most defining element: Sofyia Nzau’s vocal performance.

Upon hearing the instrumental, she immediately connected with the energy and chose to write and record exclusive lyrics for the project, transforming the track into a shared emotional narrative rather than a standard vocal feature.

Rather than placing the vocal on top of a finished arrangement, Pacho & Pepo reshaped the production around her performance. Percussion, bass, and melodic elements were refined to breathe alongside the vocal, allowing the track to unfold patiently.

This restraint reflects the duo’s broader creative growth, moving away from purely impact-driven club tracks toward music that rewards deeper listening without sacrificing dancefloor power.

Crafting Sonic Journeys Beyond Genre

“Maitu” also reflects how Pacho & Pepo’s sound has matured over time. Where earlier productions leaned heavily on energy and immediacy, their current approach prioritizes space, dynamics, and emotional flow.

Afro influences remain central, but they are now interwoven with melodic depth and hypnotic progression, creating tracks that feel expansive rather than confined to a single genre lane.

That same philosophy carries into their DJ sets, which mirror the hybrid nature of their productions. Afro and organic rhythms form the foundation, but Tech House drive, Progressive tension, and Melodic Techno atmospheres frequently emerge throughout their performances.

This fluidity allows their sets to evolve naturally, shifting between soulful warmth and club-focused intensity while maintaining a clear narrative arc.

Live performance continues to shape how Pacho & Pepo approach production, and “Maitu” was crafted with sound systems and crowd response firmly in mind.

The duo paid close attention to how percussion moves a room, how bass translates physically, and how vocals create emotional peaks on the dancefloor. That feedback loop between studio and stage ensures their releases feel purposeful when played out, not just polished on record.

As Pacho & Pepo look ahead, their focus remains on sustained artistic growth rather than quick moments. With continued exploration across Afro House, Organic House, and Melodic sounds, along with deeper international touring ambitions, “Maitu” stands as a clear snapshot of where they are now: confident, patient, and deeply connected to the emotional core of their music.
