Emerging bass music powerhouse Steller has joined forces with vocalist Jessy Covets for their first collaboration, “Chasing Butterflies.”
Released on MorFlo Records' SLOW DOWN Vol. 2 compilation, this track brings a vibrant fusion of funky grooves, intricate bass design, and dreamlike vocals.
With saxophone melodies, crisp percussion, and psychedelic effects layered throughout, the single creates an irresistible energy that cements its place as a standout on the 10-track compilation.
The song arrives on the heels of Steller’s critically acclaimed FUNKSTEP! EP on Bassrush Records, which showcased her knack for blending soulful influences with bass-driven production.
Jessy Covets’ enchanting vocals add depth and dimension to the track, making “Chasing Butterflies” a groovy, genre-crossing journey. The track joins contributions from other rising artists like Redrum, AUDIA, and Venture 5 on a compilation that emphasizes experimental soundscapes.
Since launching her music career, Steller has gained recognition for her ability to merge heavy basslines with elements of funk, jazz, and soulful grooves. Her collaborations with artists like CloZee and Zingara and her performances at festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival and Lost Lands have earned her a devoted fanbase.
Fans can catch Steller live at Cyclops Cove 3 this Friday and at Salt Seed in Chicago on December 20th to close out her fall and winter 2024 tour.
Her recent performances at Apocalypse Festival and LSDREAM’s Rave Cave have only bolstered her reputation as a magnetic live performer.
