[LISTEN] EDX Unveils Club-Ready Progressive House Single 'Moyo'

Swiss producer, DJ, and label head EDX has returned with a powerful new release, “Moyo,” out now on PinkStar Recordings.

This single highlights his ability to fuse progressive house with tribal-inspired percussion and club-centric rhythms, offering a sound that resonates with both longtime fans and new listeners. It further reinforces his role as a leading force in global electronic music.

“Moyo” begins with atmospheric percussion layered over hypnotic textures, setting the tone with a sound rooted in organic rhythm. The title, which means “heart” in several South African languages, serves as both a symbolic and literal foundation for the track’s structure.

A low-end groove forms the core of the production, as melodic synths gradually enter the mix, building momentum with precision. The result is a sweeping progression that leads into an explosive drop, engineered to energize club settings and large stages alike.

In his own words, EDX described the track’s emotional and musical intentions: “‘Moyo’ is a track that came straight from the heart, both in name and in feeling. I wanted to create something that captures the spirit of togetherness on the dancefloor, rooted in rhythm and energy, but also elevated by melody and emotion. This track has been a favorite in my recent sets, and I am excited to finally share it with the world.”

“Moyo” follows a series of recent releases that have expanded EDX’s creative scope. Earlier in 2025, he released “Desire,” a deep house collaboration with vocalist Jess Ball, and “Cobalt,” a high-energy club track that showcased a sharper production edge. These records reflect his growing interest in balancing emotional resonance with driving dancefloor appeal.

The single’s release coincides with the 25-year anniversary of Sirup Music, the label EDX founded in 2001. As an artist and curator, he continues to shape the direction of house music with a catalog that bridges tradition and innovation.
