Barclay Crenshaw Reveals New Dates For 2024 'Open Channel' Fall Tour

Barclay Crenshaw, Open Channel Fall Tour
| August 13, 2024

Barclay Crenshaw, widely recognized for his Claude VonStroke persona, has just announced additional dates and festival appearances for his 2024 'Open Channel' Fall Tour.

The tour, which supports his recently released album Open Channel, has garnered significant attention from high-profile outlets such as Forbes, Clash, UKF, and SPIN. In response to the album’s success and fan enthusiasm, Crenshaw has expanded his tour schedule to include new performances across the United States.

The expanded tour includes a mix of festival performances and headline shows, with Crenshaw now performing at some of the largest venues of his career.

Notable stops include a headline show at the 4,000-capacity Mission Ballroom in Denver on December 6th and a performance at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg, Florida, on November 30th. Additionally, Crenshaw will headline a special Day of the Dead event with Detox Unit at Skydeck in Nashville on November 2nd.

The Open Channel album has been a pivotal moment in Crenshaw's career, marking his transition from the well-known Claude VonStroke identity to a more bass-heavy, eclectic sound under his real name.

Tracks like “Stay Together” featuring TeeZandos, "Do My Ting" featuring Flowdan and Stush, and the hit single “Big In The Game” featuring Snowy and Manga Saint Hilare, have received widespread acclaim.

The tour will showcase these tracks alongside a curated mix of modern and classic bass music, hip-hop, and other eclectic edits that reflect Crenshaw's broad musical influences.

This leg of the tour will kick off on September 21st at Cascade Equinox in Redmond, Oregon, and will continue through December with performances at various festivals and venues across the country.

Key festival appearances include Wakaan Festival in Ozark, Arkansas, and Apocalypse in Long Beach, California. The tour will also make stops at prominent venues like the Miami Beach Bandshell on December 1st and Walter Where?House in Phoenix on December 7th.

In addition to the music, the 'Open Channel' Fall Tour will offer a unique visual experience, developed in collaboration with Gabriel Hall, also known as LightBender, and artist Daniel Martin Diaz. The combination of music, art, and live dancers promises to create an immersive experience for attendees, bringing Crenshaw’s dynamic musical world to life.

As tickets for the newly announced dates become available, fans can look forward to a tour that not only highlights the success of "Open Channel" but also continues to push the boundaries of Barclay Crenshaw's evolving sound.
