[LISTEN] Fairlane And Silverstein Unleash Groundbreaking Rocktronic Anthem 'Take It Back'

Fairlane, Silverstein, Take It Back

| February 04, 2024

In a groundbreaking debut collaboration, Fairlane, the Canadian multi-talent known for his mesmerizing guitar skills and rising prominence in the bass scene, has joined forces with iconic rock band Silverstein to deliver the genre-blurring anthem, “Take It Back.” Out now on Monstercat Uncaged, the track showcases a seamless marriage of Fairlane's dubstep prowess and Silverstein's rock roots.

The collaboration birthed a track that resonates with intense emotions, as Silverstein's lead singer, Shane Told, lends his infectious voice to lyrics exploring the theme of irreversibility. The track opens with a fusion of synths and echoes, paving the way for Shane's powerful vocals, which take center stage before diving into a riveting melodic bass drop driven by guitar notes and crisp drums.

The anthem builds its energy, culminating in a second half filled with Shane's invigorating screams, growing anticipation until a sudden burst into mosh pit-inducing dubstep. This deafening drop resulted in a viral clip of Fairlane playing the bass-fueled banger live.

Closing with a sequence echoing its beginning, “Take It Back” takes its audience on an intense yet introspective journey, marking a significant milestone in Fairlane's career.

Celebrated for remixes for Rihanna and Ava Max and collaborations with SLANDER and Vanic, Fairlane shines in “Take It Back,” flawlessly blending live guitar and electronic production. Silverstein, a veteran in Canadian punk, adds their signature style to the track, expanding their influence in dubstep while organically bridging the gap between rock and electronic music.

For Monstercat, the anthem solidifies the label's reputation for pushing boundaries in music and live performance. With Silverstein's recent achievements, including over 500 million Spotify streams, and Fairlane's rising success, the collaboration sets the stage for the future of the hybrid space of live-electronic, teasing more music and significant touring plans from these two trailblazers.
