NITTI Runs Contest For A Rising DJ To Open For His Las Vegas 360° Performance
Grammy-winning artist NITTI has been on an absolute roll so far this year, touring across North America and headlining festivals via his solo project and side projects, SAYMYNITTI (with SAYMYNAME) and house-focused duo SIDEPIECE (with Party Favor).
Known for his versatility in production, with the capability to create infectious Latin, bass house, dubstep tracks, and everything in between, this artist recently premiered a new chapter in his musical journey.
Taking over Exchange LA just a few weeks ago, for an electrifying boiler room-style 360° set, NITTI shared his deep passion for rocktronic music and put his exceptional fusion of heavy metal and dubstep on display.
On top of this memorable performance, he has released and previewed a brain-melting array of rocktronic bangers, flipping the likes of Slipknot, Linkin Park, and System of a Down.
As NITTI mentions, this direction makes him feel the most authentic he has in his artistry. Seeing his true colors while fully embracing his emo roots and influences, NITTI's fans have been raving about this new wave of rocktronic he has been forging.
It has even substantially grown his following, receiving tons of positive feedback on these releases, his latest sets, and breaking down upcoming rocktronic IDs on the major bass music podcast XLNT.
Now, NITTI has upped the ante once again by running a competitive DJ contest for his forthcoming 360 set at Las Vegas's Discopussy. Labeled NITTI IN THE PIT, one can expect for things to get hectic, encompassing mosh pits and headbangers clutching the rails.
Encouraging up-and-coming DJs to submit their best rocktronic mixes, featuring a blend of rock, alternative, metal, and emo with bass, NITTI was sent a myriad of 30 minute mini mixes.
Ultimately choosing San Diego-based artist, HIGHSOCIETY, NITTI made a point to spotlight other participating artists as well in his winner announcement post.
With more of these contests likely to follow from NITTI, it would be an amazing opportunity for rising artists for this trend to catch on with other headlining artists in and outside of the bass music realm.
