Suwannee Hulaween 2021 Review: The Ultimate Fall Experience

| November 21, 2021

With Halloween in the rear view, Suwannee Hulaween is cemented as a fall festival worth visiting. Grandiose and beautiful, the 2021 edition featured acts of all genres, insane lights, and a euphoric experience like no other.

The diverse lineup of musical acts ranged from EDM to ska to folk, with other genres intermixed. Skrillex blasted off with throwbacks like "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" to his jaw-dropping laser show. Skrillex later performed a once-in-a-lifetime B2B set with Bonobo and Chris Lake, which you can relive below thanks to Hulaween. Lane 8 had a standout trance set that felt like an hour-long lucid dream. Surf Mesa had fans dancing along to his infamous TikTok hit "ily (i love you baby)." Rising female DJ Nala stood out with her impressive house set

The atmosphere of Hulaween was magical. The spiritual essence in the daytime made you feel one with nature as you sat beneath beautiful shady trees. As the sun began to set, the night was illuminated by lasers, projection mapping, and pyrotechnics. Totems and statues came to life as the lake-centered fire blazed behind them. Both the crowd and performers radiated with positive energy. There was a gorgeous spirit in the air that could be felt physically. If you need a break, a weekend to just unwind and take care of your soul Hulaween is the perfect place.

There was something about Hulaween that resonated with me on a different level. Talking with different attendees, they all feel the same way. This festival is worth every penny, every minute of your time.
