5 Songs Guaranteed To Hit You In The Feels

| June 25, 2016

Everyone has those songs that will make you feel "some type of way." It hits you straight in the feels every time. Whether it’s the lyrics, the beat, or the memory behind it, we all have them. The right music can turn the most stone cold person into an emotional fool. So whether you’re driving around with your friends or drinking wine with your cat, here are five songs guaranteed to hit you right in the feels.

1. The Chainsmokers – Until You Were Gone

This is the year for The Chainsmokers, dropping banger after banger. While the song itself will make you want to get up and dance, the lyrics will hit you straight in the feels. Life tends to get in the way and sometimes you don’t realize what you want until it's gone. If you’ve ever lost something or someone and wished you could get it back, this track will make you reminisce.

2. Seven Lions – Creation

Seven Lions is arguably the Adele of electronic music. He has the type of music that will make you want to call up your ex from 5th grade crying because you miss them. It’s hard to choose just one Seven Lions song that will hit you right in the feels because honestly, they all will. This list could easily be called "5 Seven Lion Songs Guaranteed to hit you in the feels," but that would be redundant. Even if trance isn’t your jam, fast forward 1:15 into the song and prepare yourself for a roller coaster of emotions. This track will have you wondering your purpose in life, re-evaluating your entire existence and everything you’ve ever done.

3. Flux Pavillion – Emotional

The song title says it all here. Emotional Is exactly how you’ll feel after listening to Flux’s track off of his album Tesla. This track has a much different feel to it than the “Bass Cannon” vibes we’ve all grown to know and love. We’re 'comfortably dysfunctional,' while we listen to Matthew Koma tell the story about being into someone while the other person just claims they were drunk and it meant nothing to them. We’ve all been there at some point or another so prepare yourself for all of the feels.

4. Dillon Francis – Coming Over

Dillon Francis is hardly the artist we’d think of when it comes to songs that make you feel anything but happy-go-lucky. Usually accompanied by the sounds of random dolphin noises in his sets, he distanced himself from the usually humorous persona we’ve grown to expect with this track. With a slower tempo and more melodic lyrics than we’re used to, he really hits the nail on the head with this one. Kygo and Dillon teamed up is definitely something we can get used too. Sit back and just the feels take over with this one, no explanation necessary.

5. Afrojack – Ten Feet Tall

Ever have someone that makes you feel on top of the world? You feel unstoppable because they’re around you? That’s how we feel about festivals, but hey, the song can be interpreted any way you want. That’s the beauty of music, you can interpret it to mean whatever you want. No matter what it is that makes you feel ten feet tall this song will emphasize that feeling tenfold.
