The Chainsmokers Go All the Way in the Release of their Documentary Series
From their hit single "#Selfie,” to their "Bouquet" EP, to their debut album Memories...Do Not Open, the Grammy-winning duo are at it again with the release of their docu-series, The Chainsmokers- Memories.
Of course, when you label something as curious as “do not open,” who isn’t tempted to flip open the lid and poke inside anyway? Apparently, the artists. The six episode documentary series launched on March 30th, along with their most recent singles, "Sick Boy," "You Owe Me" and "Everybody Hates Me."
The series highlights their behind the scenes experience in the creation of their 2017 album, Memories...Do Not Open and their world tour.
Billboard reports that this is only the beginning, hinting that there is more to come, with more episodes and more behind-the-scenes shenanigans with musicians Alex Pall, and Drew Taggart.
Billboard also suggests that their upcoming episodes will touch on their Las Vegas residency; their trials and victories within the album’s release period, and talk about their new music in the works.
You can watch their docu-series here on Apple Music . If the promise of a documentary series isn’t enough, ABC News Radio announced the musicians are set to release their new album at the end of the year, December, 2018.
Luckily, we can whet our appetites with the promise of new singles released along the way before the 12-track album is thrown to the masses. And if that isn’t enough for your greedy little souls, they are also headlining at Napa’s, Bottleneck Music Festival, where big names such as Bruno Mars, The Killers, Snoop Dogg, and yes, Halsey (who the artists collaborated with for their first number one single “Closer”) will make their musical appearance.
I sense a surprise stage appearance! Unfortunately, tickets for the festival have long since sold out, but you can get tickets through their ticket exchange.
For those trying, I am crossing my fingers and performing the sign of the holy trinity over my screen. You have been blessed. Until then, hold on tight kids, this is going to be L.I.T.
