Luckily for music lovers, this season also holds incredible Halloween themed music festivals. When you combine the eerie and mysterious vibes of Fall with the magic of electronic music, you are in for a surreal and unbeatable celebration of darkness. 

We selected 10 bone chilling festivals that are among the top rated electronic events in the nation. They will help you keep the spirit of festival season alive, while giving you a sinister music experience that is one of a kind. 

 

1. Voodoo Music & Arts Festival - New Orleans, LA

 

 

There is no better place for a Halloween extravaganza than New Orleans, a city whose culture and history is deeply embedded in all things mystical and supernatural. Voodoo Music & Arts Festival has an incredibly diverse roster, with Guns N’ Roses, Bassnectar, Bring Me the Horizon, and plenty of other heavy hitters from numerous genres of music! Along with amazing music, Voodoo is also a next level experience for foodies because it offers fresh, local food prepared by some of the finest chefs in the city! 2. Suwannee Hulaween - Live Oak, FL

 

 

Suwannee Hulaween is perhaps the most well-known and highly treasured Halloween festival there is. Located at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, the festival is known for its picturesque location and the special energy it possesses. Many experienced festival goers site Hulaween as their favorite festival of all time, and judging from all the splendor it holds that is not surprise. This year will feature performances by Clozee, Bassnectar, The String Cheese Incident, Anderson.Paak, and many more gifted artists.

 

 

3. Freestyle Dark Party - Grand Rapids, MI

 

 

The Bassnectar team outdid themselves yet again by bringing Halloween shenanigans back to the Midwest with Freakstyle Dark Party. The party was inspired by the overwhelming response to the wildly successful last minute show they arranged for Freestyle Sessions. The minimalistic visuals gave it an exceptional old school vibe that bassheads fell in love with. The 2-day event features openers Kursa, Stylust and Super Dre for night 1 and J:kenzo, Aztek and Distinct Motive on night 2, all who are brilliant producers in their own right.

 

 

4. Nightmare Halloween Music Gathering - Washington D.C.

 

 

Nightmare Festival did not hold back whatsoever for its 10th anniversary and brought out some of the most standout artists in the industry out, including Tipper, Gramatik, Detox Unit, and Figure’s Terrorvision. These legendary acts will be accompanied by stilt performers, acrobatics, and haunted houses.  

 

5. Freaky Deaky - Baytown, TX

 

 

This year’s Freaky Deaky will be taking place at the Houston Raceway for 2 nights of pure mayhem featuring the likes of AC Slater, Ganja White Night, Rezz, and a 2-hour Fisher Sunset set! This festival has taken place in multiple locations across the country over the last few years, and no matter where it is you can always expect a high intensity weekend filled with some of the best festival sets you’ve ever heard.

 

 

6. Warehouse of Horrors - Queens, NY

 

 

New York’s Warehouse of Horrors is one of the top choices for east coast Halloween celebrations with its rugged warehouse atmosphere and killer lineup. If you love house, then this is definitely the event for you since the Dirty Bird Legend himself Claude Vonstroke will be performing along with Justin Martin, Ivy Lab, a Glitch Mob DJ set and so much more! Single day or 2 day ticket options are available for this illustrious event making it a flexible option for those who cannot commit to a multi-day event.

 

 

7. NightFall Music Festival - Denton, TX

 

 

Nightfall is a 3-day camping festival and interactive horror experience. Along with a killer lineup, the festival holds a variety of unique installations such as haunted graveyards, 2 haunted houses, and even an outdoor movie marathon spot! This year is shaping up to be an incredibly special year as the Texas festival continues to expand with plenty to offer for Halloween fanatics.

 

 

8. HARD Red Rocks Halloween - Morrison, CO

 

 

You can count on any Red Rocks show to be beyond magical thanks to its unparalleled natural beauty, so to add spooky Halloween vibes into the mix makes it an unimaginable experience. Powerhouses like Gramatik, Tom Morello, and Kayzo will be gracing this iconic venue on October 26th. Tickets are still available but will inevitably sell out so make sure to snag some soon!

 

 

9. Escape Psycho Circus - San Bernardino, CA

 

 

Escape Psycho Circus has everything you’d ever want in a festival – extravagant performers and stage designs, unreal installations, along with a lineup packed with the best in electronic music. ATLiens, Conrank, RL Grime, and Chris Lake are a few of the musicians that will be a part of this West Coast Halloween spectacle on October 25-26.

 

 

10. Wynnwood Fear Factory - Miami, FL

 

 

Wynwood Fear Factory takes place inside of the massive Mana Wynn Warehouse in Miami. The venue holds a Haunted Station along with performers so you can explore a haunted house and enjoy the sounds of artists like Illenium, Knife Party, and Malaa all in one place!
