8 Of The Most Anticipated Fall Tours Of 2016

Summer is coming to a close, and yes, we're all lowkey panicking (JK, we are 100% fully panicking) because of how quick the season went by.

Thankfully, with a new season comes new shows; so the only thing that is keeping us sane right now is the fact that fall tours are being announced left and right, and the thought that our favorite artists could be coming to our city.

So within this mass of tour announcements, we've decided to select a bunch of them that are gonna be the most anticipated tours of the year. For real, these show are gonna be an absolute "must-attend:"

1) Porter Robinson & Madeon | Shelter Live Tour

Does this really even need an explanation as to why this is such a big deal? Following the boy's massive collab together on Shelter, long time pals Porter Robinson and Madeon announced a joint-tour that sparked tears and fulfilled the dreams of the people of the dance music community.

Porter and Madeon are two of the most talented producers in their craft, and they have an ability to touch our souls in ways we didn't think was possible. If they're like this separately, we can't even begin to imagine what they would be like co-headlining one another.

2) Seven Lions | The Journey Tour

The name alone will always send chills down your spine, and yes, I may or may not have internally screamed when I heard this tour got announced. The godly Seven lions will take you on a journey during "The Journey" tour to bring you the finest of his deep, dark, melodic musical creations. We all remember the day we heard his iconic, timeless track "Days To Come," and we've been hooked on him since then for defying genres and pushing the limits for what music is.

3) Lane 8 | This Never Happened Tour

Anjunadeep and Suara signee Lane 8 introduce a tour concept unlike any other. The concept he created for this event series is "this never happened," in which he also released his own imprint under the same name.

Lane 8 has decided to select small, intimate club settings around the country to play at, and making the shows "phone-free" environments. He wants to create an intimate atmosphere that focuses solely on the music and make it as if the show "never happened" because it couldn't be documented with pictures or videos. We have chills at the mere thought.

4) Zeds Dead | Northern Lights Tour

"Zed's dead baby, Zed's dead." Well in this case, Zeds Dead is very much alive and well, and are planning on bringing their "Northern Lights" tour to your city, if you're lucky. This Toronto-native duo knows how to be versatile and never fails to throw down a killer set. 

Although every year has been super successful for the guys, they will be reaching new heights in the next couple of months, following the release of not only a world tour, but an album titled Northern Lights as well. So you best believe you'll hear some new ZD material at these shows.

5) Mija + Friends (Kill The Noise, A-Trak, Justin Martin & More) | Fk A Genre Tour

Why constrict yourself to one genre? We say "f*ck a genre" and this is the same motto that Mija lives by as well. This colorful-haired pixie throws down the filthiest sets that would blow anyones mind. Mija dabbles in all genres; her versatility as an artist goes unparalleled, playing bass-heavy sets one day and techno/tech-house sets another day.

She genuinely plays whatever her heart desires; so naturally, she's bringing the most genre-defying supporting acts along with her for the ride- including but not limited Dirtybird player Justin Martin, Durante, A-Trak and more. 

6) RÜFÜS DU SOL | North American Fall Tour

If you haven't heard of RÜFÜS DU SOL, then sorry but you live under a rock. This alternative-dance trio straight out of Australia has musical stylings similar to ODESZA, and their tracks don't fail when it comes to hitting you in straight the feels.

Copping tickets to their tour is a big deal, since the tour was just recently announced and already 7 shows are completely SOLD. OUT. "Say A Prayer For Me" because we all already know this show is gonna be chill, euphoric bliss.

7) Boys Noize | North American Tour

Head honcho of Boysnoize Records and 1/2 of Dog Blood, Boys Noize knows how to pack in a punch with his heavy, glitchy, GRIMY acid-techno sounds. 2016 was a big year for him; the release of his stellar LP Mayday and his 15-date tour announcement had everyone bugging, and word on the street is that he's bringing some insane visuals on tour with him. Prepare to have your eyes and ears stimulated by some insane noise made by Boys Noize himself.

8) Anna Lunoe | Hyper House Fall Tour

Our favorite lil' Luney is coming back once again to bring us some funky tunes, following her first "Hyper House" tour and is blessing us with a fall HH tour. Being the first solo woman to ever play the mainstage at EDC Las Vegas this past year, the gorgeous Aussie Anna Lunoe has skyrocketed to the top within the past couple of years with her unique sound, Beats 1 radio shows, and infectious smile. And guess what? She's bringing some friends with her like Mija, Nina Las Vegas, Sleepy Tom and more.
