BPM Festival 2023 Recap + Highlights
BPM Festival 2023 embezzled the jungles of Tamarindo, Costa Rica with four stages and more than 40 headliners ranging from pioneers of the electronic dance scene to emerging artists. For four nights, attendees celebrated BPM's amigo code with surprise special guest B3B performances and stage takeovers making BPM Festival a top international music festival known to go above and beyond a tropical paradise.
Canopy Stage
The Canopy Stage is the home of the BPM Festival due to BPM’s lineup curation presenting self-titled stage takeovers such as Welcome to BPM and THIS IS THE END. Lively and electrifying, those takeovers in particular held artists Meli Rodriguez, Joey Daniel, and Rafa Barrios. Presented by Plus One was Giolì & Assia, Audiofly, and Tiffy Vera. Further creating heat on the dance floor was Hernán Cattáneo, Fredo, and Guti (live) showcased by Vertigo.
Treehouse Stage
Integrating the geographical aspect of electronic dance music in BPM Festival’s lineup curation, many stage takeovers curated artists belonging to the same region. For example, DJ Minxx, Carl Craig, and Stacy Pullen derive from Chicago which birthed BPM Festival’s Detroit stage takeover. The EASTENDERZ lineup included artists WHEATS, Rossi., and Seb Zito alluding to the East End of London. Reserving a spotlight for performers Loco Dice, William Djoko, and Cortes, Serán Bendecidos Costa Rica was another memorable stage takeover as well as Art Department’s showcase of Boris and N.I.M. that celebrates BPM Festival’s special energy you can’t find anywhere else. Never experienced a B4B set? BPM Festival is the festival bringing forward extensive experimentation with performers Neverdogs B2B YAYA B2B Carlo Lio B2B Nathan Barato provided by Bamboleo Records, Rawthentic Music, and Tamango Records.
