EDM Tunes Perfect For the Gym

| December 07, 2016

Whether you're a gym rat, a cardio bunny, or a crossfitter, when heading to the gym it is important to be properly hyped up. Even the most dedicated gym-goer has days where they don't want to go. We all work long days, we're tired, we're lazy, the excuses are endless. There's one thing that can always hype up even the most exhausted human alive - music.

Before heading to the gym I always watch some Matt McGuire videos because they make me want to uncontrollably move forever. No matter what your jam is, we've got the playlist to optimize your gains right here.

Cardio:

No one actually likes cardio. I think it's something that is universally hated by all gym goers. However, if you've got the right soundtrack, it becomes pretty bearable.

Alesso - Cool:

The beat to this track can keep you running for days.

Madeon - Nonsense

The lift session:

So you did your few minutes of cardio and you're heart beat is up and running, you're ready to go. Now comes to most fun part of your day and the most important. It's time to lift some weights and make all of the gains.

Excision - G-Shit,

This track will make you suddenly feel like an unstoppable human. Picking just one Excision track off of his album was one of the hardest things I've had to do. You could easily just put his album on repeat and suddenly become the strongest person at the gym, or at least feel like it.

Purple Lamborghini - Skrillex & Rick Ross

I will continue to put this song on every single hype playlist I have until I get sick of it which will never happen. This song is the definition of hype.

Freefall- Dirtyphonics

This one could arguably go on the cardio section too but if you plan on doing a high intensity workout or some sort of crazy circuit - use this song. The fast tempo of the beat will make anything seem simple and easy.

TKO- Bassnectar

Would it even be a proper playlist if there wasn't at least one Bassnectar track on it?

Cool Down/ Stretch:

Alright so you completely dominated your workout but you're not quite done yet. You still need to stretch and maybe do some ab workouts. You're completely hyped up and now you need to calm down a little.

Tove Lo and Flume - Say It

The beautiful voice of Tove Lo on this track is the perfect way to start cooling down. You've worked hard, had an intense workout, you deserve to start relaxing.

3LAU & Said The Sky - Fire

Between the vocals and the way the song starts out so melodically, it's a great track to mid-session your cool down. Grab the yoga mat and start stretching, you're gonna feel amazing by the time this song ends.

The Chainsmokers - Setting Fires

Apparently songs that have the word fire in the tittle are the perfect song to chill out too. The Chainsmokers have done it again and this song is the best way to end your workout with a bang,

Think about it, after a weekend of festival-ing you're usually exhausted. What gets you up and moving for that last day when you feel like death? The fact you're about to go see some dope beats. So throw on some of these tracks and thank us tomorrow for all of your gains.
