Suwannee Hulaween 2017 Announces Night Of The Loving Dead Theme

String Cheese Incident helps to bring the magic of Electric Forest down to the sunshine state for Hulaween. The Spirit of Suwannee Music Park sits beside the Suwannee River, in Live Oak, Florida and is the perfect setting for eerie halloween themed vibes. This year, the three day camping festival will take place October 27th-29th in the 800 acre forest that is draped with Spanish moss. 

The music scene in the South is something special, with listeners and artist of many different types. Hulaween bring to you a line up filled with many different genres. With everything from jam band to bass wub vibes, you won't get tired of hearing the same thing on repeat.

String Cheese Changes it up so much, they will have something new for you all six times that they perform. Bassnectar, Griz, Claude Von Stroke, Destructo, Tokimonsta, Russ Liquid, Manic Focus, Space Jesus, Goldfish, Dimond Saints, Shiba San, Poolside, The Polish Ambassador and many more are coming through to give you an unforgettable experience.  

What To Expect 

I alway have a better time when I leave my expectations at the door, but here is an idea of what you may come across. There will be seven stages to entertain you all weekend. Performance art, light shows, and art installations will put you in a euphoric dreamy state, enhancing your creative thoughts.

The art installations always add a mind stretching, awe-inspiring feature to any event. Suwannee Hulaween is full of creations, artist live painting, installation to get lost in, and costumes that will keep you staring. 

 

This year's theme is Night Of The Loving Dead

This year’s theme is Night of The Loving Dead. In the theme announcement they say “In a world devilishly assaulted by ferocious natural disasters, crazed political discourse, and other sinister attacks, love is the only kryptonite that can stop these invaders in their tracks. Bust out your zombie garb, your cupid diaper or whatever else suits your Halloween desires. The only requirement is that you inject whatever you wear with a ghoulish portion of LOVE. In 2017, love is the answer, love wins.” So don't forget to bring all of your love!  Costume ideas are endless, so come in your best Halloween rave wear. Everyone at Hulaween plays on the spooky vibes for a truly magical halloween experience. 

Hula gives you and experience beyond the music. There will be work shops to keep you busy during the day and help to unlock the potential within. Dance, flow, and meditation classes will be held every day. 

Stop by the Recycle Rewards tent to play carnival style games with the Green Team to win cool prizes and learn to live more sustainably. Remember to recycle. 

The first 600 patrons to donate 20 non-perishable food items or a suggested monetary donate to the Food Drive will receive a limited edition event poster by the artist! The Conscious Alliance booth will open Friday at 10AM.

Don't miss the pre party on Thursday! Music starts at 11:30 am and will be groovin' until early morning Friday at 5 am, with acts including Umphrey’s McGee, Buku, Liquid Stranger, and Greensky Bluegrass.
