The Closing Out Of RL Grime's Nova Tour Was Epic

| November 23, 2017

Since 2011, producer Henry Alfred Steinway, AKA RL Grime has been wowing his fans with his dynamic trap and grime performances. He is also known for his highly anticipated Halloween mixes, and classic EP's like Grapes on WeDidIt, Titan EP on Mad Decent, and High Beams on Fools Gold - which hit #1 on iTunes and #8 on Billboard back in 2013.

Though he hasn't released a full EP since 2013, or an album since 2014, RL Grime has been all over the festival circuit having the time of his life.

Of course, the fun doesn't stop there for Steinway. In addition to his annual Halloween mixes and festival appearances, Grime continues to lay down filth with an extensive track list of singles and mixes with big name artists like What So Not, Shlomo, Baauer, Big Sean, and the list goes on..

Earlier this year, Steinway announced his upcoming 2nd studio album - Nova. The album is still in the works. However, that doesn't stop the trap king from trapping.

The Nova Tour has been live since launch in Vancouver early October. Since then, Grime has sold out a few stops, made appearances at Suwannee Hulaween Festival, VooDoo Music and Arts Experience, and Something Wicked, and most importantly - came to my hometown of Broomfield, Colorado.

I had the pleasure of attending RL Grime's Nova Tour last weekend with a group of my trap and bass lovin' friends. After the energetic and mind-blowing performances by KITTENS, Graves, and Jai Wolf, the build up came to life as Grime, his entire stage, and the fans hands all reached for the ceiling of The 1st Bank Center.

As the stage began to elevate, Grime began to mix The Lion King's "Circle of Life" with "Core." As he reached the top, and the drop, the crowd *gathered around Pride Rock*, instantaneously dropped it low to the sight and sound of the new and improved trap and grime king.

The rest of the night was all intense buildups and heavy drops. A lot of classics were played, as well as some of Grime's newer songs like "Stay For It" with Miguel for the fans that were getting too impatient to wait for the Nova album to drop.

The album is still TBA, but the tour is coming to an end so it's my guess that we can expect the release real soon.
