Top 5 Sets at Global Dance Festival 2018
Global Dance Festival has been a staple Colorado festival and for it's 16th year did not fall short of it's reputation.
With one of the biggest lineups in the state and its metropolitan location, Global Dance Festival brought an incredible experience to the city Denver and it's rapidly growing population.
We picked out five sets from the electronic extravaganza that we thought went above and beyond.
1. ATLiens
Approaching this set you can see two gleaming sets of red eyes reflecting off silver masks. This out-of-this-world duo threw down a sound that can transport you to another galaxy. They pushed the crowd to the next level when they played “Interlock,” their collaborative song with Bassnectar, and did not back down the whole show. The aggressive basslines and fast beats took control over the packed tent. From railriders to back-of-house groovers, this set was filled with all types of bass enthusiasts. Keep your eyes peeled for iEDM’s video interview with ALTiens coming soon.
2. Deadmau5

Deadmau5 blessed us with those thumping beats and his original sound this year at Global Dance Festival. He brought out his famous cube stage which is anything but underwhelming. Bringing us back to that sound that spearheaded electronic music into the new millenium. The crowd was wild and stuffed to it’s limit; we even had some onlookers from the highway over us stopping to join the party. The Canadian legend doesn’t seem to be slowing down and we hope he never does.
3. Flux Pavilion B2B Doctor P
Flux Pavilion and Doctor P lit up the Summit Stage of Global Dance on Saturday night. Tossing out favorites like “Bass Canon” and “Tetris” these two did not disappoint. Submerged in the crowd it was a nonstop headbanging show with smiles all around. They kept the crowd moving with their notorious, classic high energy. We hope you made this one because it was one for the books.
4. Terravita
Uncontrollable bass oozed from a tent at Global Dance as Terravita conducted a jumping crowd. With a sound that makes your body shake, Terravita dropped some of the heaviest sounds of our generation. Their expertise in shifting genres energized the unexpecting attendants to keep guessing what was coming next. Their hard-hitting beats struck a chord with every bass lover there. Terravita put on a killer show; we hope to see them soon.
5. Illenium b2b Said the Sky
We all know Illenium and Said the Sky for their beautiful melodies and feel good tunes. This year they did not fall short at one of their biggest event of the year. They dropped their song “Where’d U go” which highlighted how well these two work together. These boys were having a great time on stage and it was definitely reflected by the sea of admires absorbing their energy. We love seeing these two word together and we hope they continue the partnership.
