Top 5 Sets From Dancefestopia Festival 2018

| September 19, 2018

Dancefestopians are still in vowed with the results of how this years Emerald City edition turned out.

Arriving Emerald City on the yellow brick road, you can feel the energy and excitement of fellow ravers that were brought together by the unity of music. Walking over the hill to this festival, you look upon the main stage and see the positivity spreading throughout this three-day festival.

With blow-up dolls of Dorothy, The Scarecrow, and the Tin Man and the main stage with the Wizard of Oz's Head looking down on the fellow headbangers; it was hard not to enjoy the theme.

Not only did Dancefestopia delivered on the Wizard of Oz theme but it brought together many headliners such as Illenium, Rezz, Snails, Adventure Club, and Zeds Dead. With an outstanding lineup, the music and sets that were heard that weekend were very well delivered.

Although is always hard to pick the top five sets of any festival, iEDM is here to give you our very own top five Dancefestopia sets of the weekend.

5. Rusko

Dubstep icon Rusko brought a set that had everyone headbanging their souls out. This old-school dub with the UK twist set had everyone including myself talking about the set for a couple of days. While his whole set was one of a kind, the last thirty minutes of it had me wowed.

4. WUKI

"I'm not playing headbanging music," Wuki said before his set. He had everyone at the lollipop stage going wild on every single drop. From electro house, psy-trance to a little bit of trap, Wuki's energy was hyping all his fans. Festival-goers who stumble into his set were satisfied and tweeted how lit this set was.

3. Adventure Club

FIREWORKS FOR THE WIN. Adventure Club had a spectacular set that brought heavy bangers mixed with their old stuff that made everyone sing to. Closing the main stage on day two with lots of feels and even a couple of mosh pits bursting out.

2. Illenium

Awake 2.0 makes a debut at its very first festival here at The Emerald City. Nick Miller aka Illenium brought together many anticipated Illenials to swirl their emotions in a spiral filled with love and excitement. Dropping his old EPs such his 'Say It' remix to his newest one 'Take You Down,' he had amazing visuals that took his fans on a journey of emotions but still went hard for his fellow headbangers.

1. REZZ

Space mom delivered! Rezz has been known to take her cult space by her unique tracks and visuals. The way she connected with her fans throughout her set and speaking out to them made this last night of Dancefestopia unforgettable. During her set, she stated how she was having a crappy week and how this set turned that around due to her loyal fans smiling and vibing to her set.

Honorable mention: KASA NOVA

Early on day one, the guys from Kasa Nova dropped their first festival set and the response by his fans was wild. These guys had a big crowd headbanging early in the day. Dropping some new tracks and fans breaking the rail sums up how crazy this set was.

Despite the rain on first day and mud, Dancefestopia brought the best vibes you could've asked for at a festival. Make sure you make your way to this amazing festival next year.
