Two Peas In A Pod | Couple Outfits Ideas For Your Next Festival

Two Peas In A Pod | Couple Outfit Ideas For Your Next Festival
| July 21, 2016

Have you ever looked at your significant other or best friend in the midst of planning what to wear to your next show or festival and been like, "YO, LET'S DO MATCHING OUTFITS!" You guys start getting super hyped and begin brainstorming on the most obscure, funny, and creative outfit ideas that will make you guys stand out, be truly unforgettable, and achieve ultimate relationship/friendship goals.

Yes, we know this isn't Halloween and you guys don't have to go in a full-on costume; however, you should still bring your A-game when it comes to creative festy fashion. For example, I will never forget these two guys that I not only spotted at EDC New York, but at Electric Zoo as well, dressed as actual penguins. ICONIC; I mean, if there's one sight that I'll always remember, it will be seeing these two penguins headbanging at Excision. These innovators are one pair of the many we've all seen over the years, putting smiles on our faces by expressing their creativity and bringing something new to the table- something that we at iEDM encourage.

You may find yourself in a bit of a pickle when it comes to choosing what to actually wear since the possibilities are endless. But no worries, that's what we're here for.

What you and your bestie/bae decide to wear also depends on the festival you guys go to. If you're down to release your inner animal and are making moves to a fest like Electric Zoo, you could never go wrong with an animal hood, costume ears or even an animal onesie. Let's keep brainstorming- think of your favorite show or movie! Is there an iconic duo or couple from it that would make for a killer outfit? Some awesome examples include Finn and Jake from Adventure Time or Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy from Spongebob.

Take these innovative girls for example, who absolutely slayed being Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum at EDC:

You could also never go wrong with something classic like Batman and Batgirl, or in light of the Pokemon Go obsession that is taking over the world right now, you could take inspiration from this couple decked out as Squirtle and Blastoise.

The key to coming up with unique ideas for matching outfits is to take inspiration from your everyday lives, pay attention to present-day trends, and to just think outside the box in general. If you just can't think of any creative ideas, it's all good, you could keep it simple while making a statement by snagging matching tees like the "Astronaut Pals" T-Shirt and Tank.

Or if you've given up on everything and just life in general, it's time to whip out the onesies. When in doubt, onesie out- that's the motto. You'll be comfy, you'll match with bae/bestie and it requires minimal effort while still making some sort of statement.

Truthfully, the possibilities are endless... Mario and Luigi, fruit (yes, you heard that right) because who wouldn't love to see two people dressed as bananas grooving in the middle of a crowd, animals, aquatic animals- you really can dress up as anything! So get out there you crazy kids, let the creative juices flow, and we can't wait to see how you, your best homie or your significant other will change up the festy fashion game!
