10 Favorite EDM Festivals To Celebrate New Years Eve 2020

We’re less than officially two months away from the new year and it’s about time we started thinking about our New Year's Eve plans. From that fancy nightclub club, to that party your friend of a friend of a friend is throwing, to those dreaded family get-togethers, we know you’re slammed with a ton of tempting options.

Well, we also have our own handful of choices of awesome EDM events to ring in the New Year with. If you’re new to the scene, you’re in for a treat. If you’re a veteran, welcome back. Either way, you won’t have any regrets this NYE.

Trade in your suit and tie for a pair of light-up sneakers and your sequin dress for a fur hood and head to the dance floor this new years. So which one will we see you at?

 

1. Decadence Colorado

 

Dubbed America’s biggest NYE celebration, Decadence has previously brought its party to Colorado, Arizona and Utah. Decadence CO will return to Colorado Convention Center on December 30th and 31st with a lineup that has something for everyone, with bass favorites including Bassnectar, REZZ, Ganja White Night, Zeds Dead to big names like Boys Noize, Tiësto and Steve Aoki. Decadence will also host special b2b sets for Tchami x Malaa and Big Gigantic x NGHTMRE.

2. Decadence Arizona

Like its sister event, Decadence Arizona sports a not-to-be-missed lineup with crossover for Zeds Dead, Tchami x Malaa and FISHER. The 2-day event will take place December 30th and 31st at Rawhide Event Center. Decadence AZ's lineup also features Adam Beyer, Skrillex, Diplo, Dillon Francis, JOYRYDE and G Jones. Special performances to watch out for include an Illenium Ascend live set and Griztronics. More artists to be announced soon!

3. Bassnectar NYE360

Calling all bassheads—Bassnectar will return for a glorious tenth year of his New Year's Eve celebration NYE360. For this year's edition, the 360° rotating stage and NYE event will take place at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky. He’s back again with NYE360 at Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina. Bassnectar will be joined by friends London dubstep artist Mala, Dorfex Bos, and dubstep duo Sicaria Sound. Along with live painters, installations and a gigantic space to relax and roam, NYE360 will also donate a portion of ticket sales to the Bassnectar team's free therapy charity initiative. Get ready to ring in the New Year with good vibes all around.

4. SnowGlobe

The now MTV-owned SnowGlobe music festival is slated to return to Lake Tahoe for another New Year's Eve run. The 3-day festival will take place December 29-31 at South Lake Tahoe and features its most diverse lineup yet with headlining electronic acts including Skrillex, Louis the Child and ZHU as well as beloved DJs like Clozee, Spencer Brown, Kasbo, graves and more. Hip-hop fans will also get their fill from performances by Vince Staples, SuperDuperKyle, Doja Cat, Earthgang and more.

Don’t sleep on the Brownies & Lemonade All Stars b2b and a secret U.S. debut by a to-be-announced artist.

5. The CityFox Odyssey

The CityFox Odyssey returns to its home Avant Gardner in Brooklyn, New York for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. The 27-hour festival hosts a massive lineup of extended sets across 4 stages. For those brave souls who plan to party it up into the day hours of January 1st, CityFox will be the move for you. This year's lineup is as lethal as ever, with legends like Sasha & John Digweed, Hot Since 82, Jamies Jone and more, gracing the stage. More artists to be announced.

6. Countdown NYE

Get ready for a New Year's Invasion 2.0 with Insomniac’s annual NYE celebration, Countdown. The previously 2-day event will take place on New Year's Eve, December 31 at NOS Events Center in San Bernadino, California. Playing off its alien theme, Countdown will present four immersive stages including “The Mothership”, "Area 51", "Twilight Zone" and "Nebula". Take your pick with out-of-this-world performances by The Chainsmokers, Alesso, Borgore, Nitti Gritti, Oliver Heldens, Porter Robinson, ATLiens and more.

7. Lights All Night

Texas' longest running EDM festival, Lights All Night will reconvene at Dallas Market Hall for its 2-day pre-NYE celebration. Taking place December 27th and 28th,  Lights All Night will ring in its 10th anniversary this year with programming for the books. The Dallas-based festival welcomes killer headliners including Skrillex, Virtual Self, Bassnectar and Louis the Child as well as Liquid Stranger, Subtronics, Kayzo and many others. 8. Snowta

If you're looking to get your bass fix in one last time before 2019 ends, Snowta is the NYE festival for you. Taking place December 30th and 31st at the Amory in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Snowta will see Zeds Dead headlining the first night and Ganja White Night taking the stage for the countdown on NYE. Featuring a range of bass music from heavyweights like Dion Timmer, G Jones and Moody Good to funky acts like Big Gigantic and Big Wild, Snowta is guaranteed to have your 2019 go out with a bang.

9. HiJinx Festival

Last year HiJinx debuted to a spectacular first year. This year, the Philadelphia festival returns to Philadelphia Convention Center on December 27th and 28th for another stacked showing. The HiJinx lineup will see headlining performances by Bassnectar, Excision b2b Slander, GRiZ, Porter Robinson, Zeds Dead and Skrillex along with other heavy-hitting acts.

10. Kaskade NYE

If you happen to find yourself in the big apple for New Year's Eve, Kaskade's NYE event will be right around the corner. The EDM superstar will be taking over one of Manhattan's most iconic venues, Terminal 5 in Hell's Kitchen for a massive NYE celebration. All tickets will include an open bar from 10pm-1am.
