10 Favorite EDM Festivals To Celebrate New Years Eve 2019

| November 12, 2018

We’re less than officially two months away from the new year and it’s about time we started thinking about our New Year's Eve plans. From that fancy nightclub club, to that party your friend of a friend of a friend is throwing, to those dreaded family get-togethers, we know you’re slammed with a ton of tempting options.

Well, we also have our own handful of choices of awesome EDM events to ring in the New Year with. If you’re new to the scene, you’re in for a treat. If you’re a veteran, welcome back. Either way, you won’t have any regrets this NYE.

Trade in your suit and tie for a pair of light-up sneakers and your sequin dress for a fur hood and head to the dance floor this new years. So which one will we see you at?

1. Decadence Colorado

Decadence, America’s biggest NYE celebration, is bringing the party to three locations - Colorado, Arizona and Utah. Decadence CO’s massive lineup has something for everyone, with big names like Skrillex, Bassnectar and Above & Beyond to fan-favorites like Eric Prydz, Alison Wonderland, GRiZ and many more.

2. Decadence Arizona

Like its sister event, Decadence Arizona sports a similar lineup with Skrillex, Above & Beyond, Eric Prydz and Alison Wonderland playing, but also features a Porter Robinson DJ set, Rezz, San Holo and some other additions. P.S. look out for a special NGHTMRE b2b DJ Diesel countdown set.

3. Bassnectar NYE360

If anyone knows how to ring in the new year, it’s Bassnectar. He’s back again with NYE360 at Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina. Complete with a 360° rotating circular stage and joined by friends G Jones, Eprom, Manic Prom and Anna Morgan, Bassnectar is ready for you to bask in the glory of bass and good vibes.

4. SnowGlobe

The 3-day South Lake Tahoe festival has been one of the most popular NYE choices and for good reason. Make a trip out of this and hit some slopes while you’re recovering from raving. Big headliners like Above & Beyond, Diplo, Eric Prydz, funky artists like Big Gigantic and Sofi Tukker and rap group SOB x RBE are all gonna bring the heat. Don’t sleep on the 4 b2b sets or the Brownies & Lemonade takeover either.

5. The CityFox Odyssey

For those brave souls who want to attempt the feat of partying after NYE until January 2nd, The CityFox Odyssey is here for you. The NYE and NYD festival takes place at Brooklyn’s Avant Gardner with multiple stages and chill-out areas. Only one artist, Honey Dijon, has been revealed so far and with details still to come, this experience is not to be missed.

6. Countdown NYE

Insomniac’s NYE celebration Countdown only takes place over one day this year instead of its usual two, but it’s being made up for with a stacked lineup and a wonky alien theme. Come see San Bernadino’s NOS Center be transformed into four immersive stages including “The Mothership” and rage the night away with headliners like Afrojack, Dillon Francis, Tiesto, Zedd and RL Grime.

7. Lights All Night

At Dallas Market Hall, this two-day festival takes place Friday and Saturday (Dec. 28th and 29th) and is your perfect pre-game to NYE. With a diverse set of headliners like Diplo, Excision and Gucci Mane, Lights All Night also has Shiba San, Mr. Carmark, Nora en Pure, Josh Pan and many others gracing the lineup. BONUS: Kaskade Redux Set and Ekali House set.

If you weren’t buying into this lineup, you’re definitely taking out your wallet now that Kaskade was just added as the third headliner in addition to Illenium and Porter Robinson. At San Diego’s Valley View Casino Center, OMFG! is your festival if you want 3 days of feels and good weather.

9. Claude VonStroke - Time & Space

Presented by BangOn!NYC and Elements Music & Arts Festival, this space-themed NYE event is for all you Dirtybird fans. Immerse yourself in another world of music where Claude VonStroke is the lead astronaut.

10. Decadence Utah

A much smaller lineup that still packs a punch, Decadence Utah is gonna have you in a neckbrace by the end of the night. With heavy hitters like Adventure Club, Getter and Black Tiger Sex Machine, get ready for non-stop bass and wubs.
