Film scores have long relied on music to transform individual scenes into lasting cultural moments. For his next major Denver headline, SoDown is turning that relationship on its head, bringing cinematic music into the world of bass.

On February 13, 2027, the Colorado-based producer and multi-instrumentalist will return to Mission Ballroom for “The SoDown Picture Show,” an original headline concept that reimagines recognizable moments from film history through electronic production, live saxophone, visual storytelling, and a full marching band.

Rather than constructing the night around a conventional DJ set, SoDown is developing the entire performance around cinema. Music associated with Jaws, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and the work of Hans Zimmer will provide inspiration for new electronic arrangements, allowing familiar melodies and themes to take on entirely different forms inside a bass music setting.

The concept builds naturally on SoDown’s longstanding emphasis on musicianship. Saxophone has remained a defining element of both his records and live performances, while his productions regularly move between dubstep, funk, soul, and other electronic styles.

Adding a marching band gives that approach a new scale, creating another point of interaction between acoustic performance and electronic production.

SoDown describes the show as the beginning of “a bigger, more immersive world around the music,” with the project connected directly to his upcoming album and the next phase of his career.

He says every element, from the stage design and visuals to the music itself, is being developed around the cinematic concept.

The Mission Ballroom date also carries additional significance. SoDown previously headlined the venue in 2025, later calling the performance the best night of his life because of the energy and connection he experienced with the Denver crowd.

Returning two years later gives him an opportunity to revisit that relationship with a considerably more ambitious production.

The announcement follows a busy period that has seen SoDown headline more than 30 shows throughout 2026 while expanding his GetDown fan experiences beyond the concert environment through activities including hiking, paddleboarding, and indoor skydiving.

His “On The Air” flip series has also surpassed one million SoundCloud streams over the past year.

“The SoDown Picture Show” now brings those different facets of the project together. By filtering the emotional language of cinema through bass music and live performance, SoDown is positioning his next Mission Ballroom headline as both a concert and a statement about where the project is heading next.
Pre-sale tickets will become available this Wednesday at 10:00 AM MST using password “GETDOWN.” General on-sale begins Friday, August 21 at 10:00 AM MST.
