Close your eyes. Take a deep breath, in and out. Relax. It is almost time to experience that overwhelming influx of excitement that arrives every November. Feel that beat pulsing through your body to the lights glazing in your eyes, sending waves of euphoria through your veins. Get ready because EDC Orlando 2023 has a stacked lineup for you this year. 

There will be countless artists to see, with a wide range of different sounds that set each and every one of them apart. In this article, we will dive into some of the must-see acts of the weekend. They all deliver something vibrant and unique to the EDCO atmosphere.

10) Sam WOLFE

sam WolfeAtlanta-based Sam WOLFE is a rising force in techno, renowned for his fusion of dark, aggressive, and melodic elements. Since his 2020 debut, he's hit #1 on Beatport and gained support from techno legends like UMEK, Adam Beyer, and more. He's released chart-topping tracks on esteemed labels and headlined numerous cities alongside techno heavyweights.

I have been in love with his music since I first saw him back in 2020 at Iris Atlanta, and he blew me away. Sam WOLFE has a very unique way of bringing you into his world of hard-hitting sound. With his energy and charisma, he will leave you speechless after his set.

 

9) Dombresky

dombreskyDombresky, DJ-producer hybrid, is known for his invigorating four-on-the-floor house beats. He emerged in 2016 as Quentin Dombres, quickly gaining recognition with funky tracks. Collaborating with industry heavyweights like BLOND:ISH, Armand van Helden, and Diplo, he solidified his reputation. Hits like “Soul Sacrifice” and success on Beatport underscore his distinction. Dombresky has achieved many milestones, performing at Lollapalooza and sold-out venues worldwide.

If you are looking for a nice groovy set, then this is a set that you will not want to miss. There is never a time or a place when I am at a fest that I miss Dombresky, he is the highlight set of my weekend always. His music sends me to a funky, euphoric dimension that I wish I could stay and vibe in forever. 

 

8) Jamie Jones

jamie jonesJamie Jones, serves as the head of the Hot Creations label and is the creator and organizer of the global Paradise event series. He's also a part of the multi-genre band Hot Natured. In the past decade, Jones has been at the forefront of forging his unique musical style, opening doors for a more melodic and warmer facet of techno to thrive.

Make sure you check out this renowned DJ on Friday. He makes unimaginable music that will have you movin’ all night. My favorite set that you should check out if you have not yet is Jamie Jones at Pliva Waterfall. A dreamy set to listen to as you are travelling down to EDC.  

 

7) Subtronics

subtronicsSubtronics, born Jesse Kardon in Philadelphia, combines a love for subwoofers and electronics. He developed his passion for music from his drum set and Radiohead. High school introduced him to dubstep, igniting his production journey. Subtronics merges cutting-edge sound design with powerful bass, known for energetic live performances and mixing prowess. 

Subtronics has graced festivals like Lollapalooza and venues like Red Rocks, with releases on labels like Ultra Music and collaborations with artists including Rezz and Excision. Beyond music, he leads the Cyclops Army.

Out of the many things I love about Subtronics is that he is always there to put on an unforgettable show, from his visuals to his unique sound that vibrates through your entire body. I have seen him countless times and never miss him because he never performs the same set twice.

 

6) Deathpact

DeathpactDeathpact is an enigmatic electronic music producer and DJ known for their anonymity and distinctive sound. Their identity remains concealed, and he or she is recognized for intricate, experimental, and bass-heavy tracks. Deathpact's music has gained popularity within the electronic music community, and they often perform live shows without revealing their true identity, adding an air of mystery to their persona.

Their unique approach to music production has earned them a dedicated following. A talent that brings enough to the stage that identity means little to nothing. Deathpact's sound and energy channels it all.

 

5) Malaa b2b Wax Motif

Malaa, known for concealing their identity, is celebrated for their dark and bass-heavy house music, often featured on labels like Confession. Wax Motif, an Australian DJ and producer, is recognized for his fusion of house and hip-hop, making him a sought-after artist in the industry. Both artists have earned recognition for their unique styles and contributions to the evolution of electronic dance music.

They bring both their personal music together to produce such a seamlessly and captivating sound. If you missed them at EDC Vegas this is your chance to see them again, so don't make the same mistake! 

 

4) Excision

excisionExcision, hailing from Kelowna, British Columbia, is a pioneer of the Bass Music scene, known for his mind-bending live shows. His touring production, The Evolution, boasts an impressive array of lights, lasers, and subwoofers. Creator of Lost Lands and Bass Canyon festivals, he's a driving force in the dubstep community. With over 2 billion streams, 5 albums, and a record label, Subsidia, he's made a profound impact on the industry while constantly supporting its growth and fostering a home for fans.

Excision is idolized in throughout the base community. From his visuals to bass-heavy music, he will make you headbang, stomp your feet, and beg for more. His music is infective and addicting to say the least. 

 

3) KREAM

dreamKREAM, comprising Norwegian siblings Daniel and Markus Slettebakken, is renowned for their distinctive approach to melodic tech house. Initially recognized on SoundCloud for their remixes, their original tracks have now amassed over one billion streams. Their LIQUID : LAB series on YouTube, set in Norway's remarkable locations, has evolved into a significant online dance music event, drawing over a million viewers.

Go ahead and add KREAM to your lineup schedule if you have not done so yet. You are not going want to miss them at any cost.

 

2) Modapit

modalitiesModapit is a dynamic and emerging DJ in the electronic music scene. With a passion for creating infectious and energetic sets, Modapit is quickly gaining recognition for their captivating performances that blend a variety of electronic music styles.

His unique sound and stage presence have garnered a growing fan base and opportunities to perform at various events and venues. Modapit's journey promises an exciting future in the world of electronic music. Modapit's set at Imagine Music Festival was spellbinding and electrifying. It has me craving more of his enchanting sound. 

1) Fisher

fisherAustralian tech-house producer Paul Fisher, known as FISHER, burst onto the music scene with his carefree and dancefloor-focused productions. His hit track “Losing It,” certified platinum and Grammy-nominated in 2018, brought him global recognition. Subsequent hits, including “You Little Beauty,” maintained his success.

FISHER's background as a professional surfer influenced his journey into DJing and production. His solo career began in 2017, leading to chart-topping tracks, such as “It's a Killa” and “Take It Off,” making him a staple figure in the tech-house scene.

If you don't know, yet you will soon enough, why he holds the number one spot on this list of must-sees. The energy he brings is like no other; it is so wholesome and inviting. The easy way to describe him on the stage is Happy from Happy Feet. FISHER will for sure but a smile on your face and have you shuffling nonstop during his headlining set at EDC Orlando.
