Bass Music Meets a Good Cause as WonkyWilla Partners With Food For Life Network for “Wonksgiving”

WonkyWilla is bringing his annual “Wonksgiving” charity celebration to Miami this Thanksgiving weekend, taking over Midline Miami on Saturday, November 28 with a new partnership benefiting Food For Life Network.

The event will combine WonkyWilla’s bass-heavy live show with a broader charitable effort designed to support members of the Miami-Dade community experiencing food insecurity and related nutritional needs.

One dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to Food For Life Network, while 50% of Wonksgiving merchandise sales will also benefit the organization. A food and clothing drive will take place onsite throughout the night.

Food For Life Network, founded in Miami in 1987 and operating as part of Care Resource, provides free groceries, medically tailored meals, nutritional education, emergency food assistance, and home-delivered meals to eligible individuals and families living with chronic illnesses throughout Miami-Dade County.

“Wonksgiving is about giving back to the community,” WonkyWilla shares. “Everyone deserves the chance to have a nice Thanksgiving meal with the people they love, which is why partnering with Food For Life feels so special.”

The Miami edition builds on a charitable tradition that has become increasingly tied to the WonkyWilla project. Last year’s Wonksgiving in Austin drew more than 500 attendees and incorporated ticket donations, merchandise proceeds, and a food and clothing drive.

Across previous Wonksgiving initiatives, the event has raised more than $8,000 for Feeding America.

This year’s show will take place at Midline Miami, a two-level, 10,000-square-foot venue in Wynwood. rSUN and Sloth will join WonkyWilla on the lineup, with the night expected to move through the heavy bass, left-field sound design, disco, house, and playful genre shifts that have become part of his live identity.

Wonksgiving also lands during a particularly active period for WonkyWilla. His ongoing 30-plus-date “Wonking On Sunshine” Tour is his largest headline run to date, while recent highlights have included a Lost Lands performance and a sold-out show at Phoenix’s 1,500-capacity Walter Where?House.
