2017 was full of amazing talent being brought to light. From new labels to new albums, our favorite artists have given us a year to remember.

Festivals across the country featured our favorites but also exposed us to the up and coming artists. From Electric Forest to EDC, we experienced moments that will last in our memories forever.

Everyone is ready to see what 2018 has in store. Here are 10 Of The Best Rising Artists Of 2017 in EDM world that you should definitely check out in the upcoming year.

1. Chris Lake

Chris Lake started the year off with his song "Operator" becoming the anthem of Holy Ship. He released it on his own label and started working with Skrillex on their project HOWSLA. This year he will have completed a massive national tour with stops in Belgium, Canada, Thailand, and Japan. He will begin his 2018 playing for all of the die hard Holy Shippers again. We got to sit down with Chris Lake at Electric Forest to talk about HOWSLA, working with Skrillex and his dedicated fans in an exclusive interview HERE

2. Rezz

On the rise, our hardcore queen caught the attention of Deadmau5 and Skrillex. There hasn’t been a sound or a look quite like hers yet. She started 2017 hypnotizing Holy Shippers with her electronic Rezzstep. She’s made it quite far since she started producing in November of 2013, and has even released some music on Mau5trap. This year, she toured the nation making stops at festivals like Buku, Bonnaroo, Shaky Beats and Electric Forest.

3. Illenium

It’s close to impossible not to have heard this name in 2017. Illenium has been spotted on line up across the nation. He always brings a large crowd since his debut album Ashes in 2016. Since then, he’s gone from an up-and-coming artist to a major headliner. This year he released the album Awake, which takes a more of a story-like approach.

4. Big Wild

This guy started when he was just 15 years old making beats for rap artists. His talent caught the eye of Odesza, and since has done two tours with. This year he made his way around the nation spreading his electric vibes. He is constantly releasing new music to give everyone something fresh to listen to. Check out the interview HERE that we did with him earlier this year at Electric Forest about his unique sound and performance style.

5. ARMNHMR

These guys aren’t only talented. They are also very humble and full of good vibes. They’ve received support from some of the biggest names in the game including The Chainsmokers. This year was a big one for them as they played some of the most notable venues along with some of the most well known EDM artists. We got to catch up with ARMNHMR at Shaky Beats earlier this year, check out the interview HERE

CloZee has been impressively producing electronic music since the age of 16. Starting at home in Toulouse, she has spent the past two years spreading her harmonic, yet funky beats all over the world. Jack of all trades, as a producer, vocalist, and mulit instrumentalist, Crywolf has gotten support from Ellie Goulding, Skrillex, and Bassnectar. He doesn’t care to bend around a genre and has over 100 million plays across several major platforms. His last album Cataclasm was released in 2015 debuting in the top 10 on Billboard Electronic. This year he toured through Middlelands, Shaky Beats, Firefly, and Electric Forest.

8. Louis The Child

This duo has been killing it since 2015 when they dropped their song "It’s Strange." They’ve been on the rise ever since, making their way on to some of the biggest line ups of the year. Their EP Love Is Alive was dropped in March surprising fans with tempo changes and different sound than their norm on some of the tracks. You don’t want to miss them in 2018. 9. Golf Clap

This Detroit duo was started in 2013 and has made quite some growth in the past year. They’ve played close to 1,000 shows. My first Golf Clap experience was on Holy Ship 9.0 and it was everything I hoped it’d be. Their bass house vibes give a chill future sound. We got to chat with them earlier this year at Electric Forest for an interview HERE about their new bass house Detroit style.

10. San Holo

He’s been releasing amazing music for years, but intros year his song "Light" has been played by artists everywhere. 2018 already holds plans for him to play internationally in Germany and Netherlands before he gets back to business in the States.
