10 Highly Anticipated Sets At Electric Forest 2019

| June 25, 2019

It's Electric Forest week! It's almost time to clock out from reality and immerse yourself in this enchanted festival experience that we have called number one our favorite festival countdown

Year after year, this incredible 4-day camping festival proves to be an innovator in the festival scene with an amazing lineup featuring the hottest new artists across the spectrum. From house music to psychedelic funk, Electric Forest has something for everyone.

Choosing just 10 anticipated sets is challenging because there are so many incredible artists who play year after year and some who are premiering their first ever performance in the Forest.

Unfortunately, it's impossible to catch it all, so I narrowed it down to my top 10 most anticipated sets below.

10. Escapade (Walker & Royce and Ardalan)

Walker & Royce b2b Ardalan is about to cause an ESCAPADE in the Forest on Sunday, June 30 as one of the final sets of the weekend on the Tripolee Stage. These Dirtybird players are rising house music stars on their own and have teamed up for a special set together as Escapade. House lovers, do not miss this!

9. Jantsen

Jantsen made my list because he was one of my favorite sets at Dejavoom. I have always been a fan but after his epic sets at Deja, he will be on my can't miss list every time. Listen to his latest collab with Bassnectar "It's About To Get Hectic" and get your neck ready for lots of headbanging at his set at The Jubilee on Saturday, June 29 at 6pm.

8. Dr. Fresch

Dr. Fresch has always thrown down the most bouncey and fun sets every time I've seen him. His "future ghetto" caught the attention of Insomniac in 2013 and was featured on Billboard's "Next Big Sound Chart." His mix series, "The Prescription" features the latest new artists and sounds every week on Insomniac Radio. Give it a listen and embrace yourself for dancing at his Tripolee set on Saturday evening.

7. STS9

It's been a few years since STS9 has been at Forest and we are highly anticipating their return. In previous years, their set has claimed number one on my favorites. Although they have been around for years, this band is still on fire! Last year they even launched their own festival, Wavespell.

6. Whethan

Whethan is a breakout artist who is now a mid tier headliner as compared to his 2017 Forest debut. He has recently promised new music and a new sound that we are excited to hear at Electric Forest.

5. Gorgon City

Gorgon City is playing a live set at the Sherwood Court on Friday at 9pm that is not to be missed. Then they are playing again at The Observatory for a late night dance party. Hey Gorgon City, the Forest is "ready for your love."

4. Bassnectar

I wasn't going to include the super obvious headliners on this list, however after just dropping his brand new "Temple Of Dreams Mixtape" after the Freestyle Sessions debacle, Lorin's Forest set comes highly anticipated by fans. Bassnectar is considered the electronic resident at Electric Forest and year after year, people say it's their favorite set.

3. String Cheese Incident

String Cheese have been a part of Electric Forest for years and are involved with the curation process, which is why they have 3 different times they play throughout the weekend. If you only plan to catch them once, their famous Saturday night she-bang is always a must.

2. Honey Dijon

Honey Dijon is not an artist to miss because her US tour schedule is always very limited. The last time I saw her was an extended set in an area 51 themed stage at Okeechobee. Her dark techno beats kept everyone vibing until sunrise. Her late night set in the Carousel Club is guaranteed to get weird.

1. Odesza

For me, Odesza is the music I listen to most often on a regular basis when driving to work, relaxing at home or in the office. They were nominated for Best Electronic Album, and should have won. The first time I saw them at Forest blew me away, and it's been a few years so their Forest return is highly anticipated. Their most recant tour included a drum line and we can't wait to see it.
