10 Must-Attend Electronic Red Rock Shows This Spring 2018
Music fans are counting down the days until warm weather allows us to dance outside to our favorite music at the number one venue in the country, Red Rocks. This season is blasting off with incredible shows starting the weekend of 4/20.
No matter where you live, if you are a music fan, it should be on your bucket list to make a trip to see your favorite artist play at this natural venue. The acoustics are incredible and there really isn't a bad seat in the house.
This epic amphitheater sits between giant red rock formations named Creation Rock to the north, Ship Rock to the south, and Stage Rock.
It is most artist's dream to play Red Rocks and for some, this will be their lucky year. The calendar is filling up with once in a lifetime performances from our favorite stars.
Here is our list of electronic shows worth traveling out to the colorful state of Colorado for this April and May 2018 (in order by date).
1. HDYFEST featuring Flosstradamus + more - Fri., April 20
Launch your Red Rocks season at HDYFEST this 4/20. If you are traveling from another state, 4/20 weekend is definitely a holidays to visit this ganja friendly state. Flosstradamus will be headlining this wild party with support from Kayzo, Famous Dex, Melvv and Ducky.
2. Opiuo + Sunsquabi - Sat., April 21
Coming at you 4/20 weekend, which is also the opening weekend of Red Rocks this season, Opiuo is co-headlining with Sunsquabi. Sunsquabi is a local live electronic favorite who sold out the Fillmore earlier this year and we can only expect an epic Red Rocks performance. Opiuo is a glitchy, funky, bassy delight from Australia has worked with artists like Bassnectar, Skrillex and Infected Mushroom.
3. Kygo - Wed., April 25
Kygo's Kids In Love Tour will be making an extra special stop at Red Rocks this April 25. If you are questioning whether to go, I highly recommend watching the new Kygo at the Hollywood Bowl performance that is new on Netflix. You will singalong, experience all the feels and purchase tickets right away. Alan Walker will be support at the epic event that takes place on a Wednesday.
4. Tchami x Malaa - Fri., May 11
Tchami and Malaa are bringing the No Redemption tour to Red Rocks with special guests k?d, Justin Martin and Mercer. Recently, they released exclusive No Redemption tour remixes HERE. We can't wait for this special event brought to us by these Confession label super stars.
5. Global Dub featuring Ganja White Night, Zomboy + more - Sat., May 12
Global Dub is an annual Red Rocks event that features our favorite up and coming bass acts. This year we can expect lots of riddim beats from Ganja White Night, and even more headbangers for Zomboy. The support acts on this list are worth the ticket price too. This year features Boogie T b2b Squnto, Eptic, AFK and Spock, plus more to be announced.
6. Above & Beyond - Sat., May 19
Global Dance is bringing us Above & Beyond Common Ground to Red Rocks for a performance that is guaranteed to blow you away. Expect to experience all the feels at this heartwarming experience.
7. Phantogram + Tycho - Mon., May 21
There are lots of co-headlinging events this summer at Red Rocks, but Phantogram and Tycho may be one of the most anticipated. This event is guaranteed to give you the chills between the beautiful vocals of Phantogram live and the illustrious performance from Tycho. 8. Louis The Child + Big Wild - Thurs., May 25
Louis The Child and Big Wild are teaming up for a special performance for their first headlining Red Rocks performances. Both of these artists killed it in 2017, which is why they both made our 10 Best Rising EDM Artists list. Get excited by listening to the iEDM Radio Louis The Child Mix HERE.
9. Emancipator Ensemble - Sat., May 26
On May 26, Emancipator will be hosting a live band performance which he calls Emancipator Ensemble. The live performances are once in a lifetime and a must-see if you are a fan of his beautiful downtempo tunes. Opening this event will be an extra special Manic Focus Live Band, Wax Tailor with special guests and Kalya Scintilla & Eve Olution.
10. The Disco Biscuits - Sun., May 27
This event falls more in the jam band category, however The Disco Biscuits are known for getting very weird with their electronic tunes. This Red Rocks performance will be the last of a 4-night run that starts at The Ogden Theater in Denver. Opening this event is our favorite new up and coming band, Spafford.
