Anjunadeep Open Air Returns To Brooklyn Mirage With Stacked Lineup
Anjunadeep, the independent record label famous for launching some of the most exciting figures in melodic house and ambient techno, is returning to Brooklyn for a marathon takeover of Avant Gardner on July 12.
More than a dozen artists will spin hypnotic, summery sounds in the venue's 80,000 square feet — from the iconic outdoor space Brooklyn Mirage to the indoor Kings Hall — enchanting a fan base that has devotedly followed the imprint around the world over the past decade. Tickets are on sale now via Dice.
This year's lineup features some returning favorites, including the legendary UK-based Jody Wisternoff, whose dreamy and dynamic sets have kept dance floors grooving late into the next day for decades, Nils Hoffmann, known for gorgeous and inspiring live melodies, and French DJ Romain Garcia, who will bring some techno heaters to the deep house celebration.
You can't go wrong with any artist on the lineup but some artists stand out. Durante's lush journeys into deep house showcase his expert ability to layer tracks into a bright and seamless whole, making it feel like you're surfing a crisp ocean wave. It'll be interesting to see how Chris Luno, who has built a Youtube following with smooth park sets, will guide the NYC crowd.
HANA's celestial voice is the perfect pairing for deep house beats. When her voice soars through rolling bass sequences, arms will undoubtedly rise into the air.
The B2B with Dosem and Qrion, hailing respectively from Spain and Japan, might be the most exciting inclusion on the lineup, fusing, as it will, Dosem's energizing percussions and Qrion's textured synths.
Brooklyn Mirage has become a destination for people in the EDM scene because of its massive and immersive screens, world-class sound system, and stellar summer lineups.
If you haven't been before, getting to the venue is relatively easy. If you're taking the L train, hop off at the Jefferson stop and it's a 10-minute walk. If you're driving, there's abundant parking in the vicinity. Rideshares like Uber and Lyft can drop you off at the venue and biking there is easy as well (just make sure you wear a helmet and have lights on your bike!).
The show starts at 6 pm and will keep going until 4 am, guaranteeing 10 hours of nonstop Anjuna excellence. For the most-dedicated ravers, Avant Gardner allows for a comfortable start-to-finish experience.
The venue has numerous food trucks on-site to accommodate different diets. If it rains, the venue hands out ponchos, and if you need earplugs, you can find them at the merch shop or via the bathroom concierges.
If your legs get tired and you need to take a break, abundant seating options allow you to sit and recover (the Great Hall is often converted into an ambient rest zone) and the multi-level setting offers gorgeous views of the New York skyline.
