Ghastly Drops First Official Single Since His Return With 'Night Raid'
Following the launch of his highly anticipated comeback earlier this year, Ghastly continues building momentum with “Night Raid,” the first official standalone single released since David Crow revived one of bass music's most recognizable projects.
Serving as the next chapter in the Ghastly resurgence, “Night Raid” arrives as a statement of intent. The record embraces the bass house foundations that helped establish the project while introducing a more refined and contemporary production approach shaped by years of artistic evolution.
This track opens with a memorable vocal sample before quickly shifting into a driving instrumental powered by energetic basslines and rap-infused vocal elements.
As tension builds, “Night Raid” steadily progresses toward a festival-ready drop that captures the balance between familiarity and forward-thinking production. The result is a record that feels unmistakably Ghastly while simultaneously signaling a new creative era.
Rather than functioning as a simple return to form, “Night Raid” reinforces the broader vision behind Crow's revival of the project.
While longtime fans will recognize elements that made Ghastly a defining force within bass house, the single also showcases the growth and technical refinement developed throughout the years spent exploring other creative avenues.
Sharing personal insight into the release, Ghastly states, "‘Night Raid’ is a 4-year awaited return to form for the Ghastly banner — a middle finger approach to the idea of genres. A mixture of bass house, trap, and opera while blossoming with clever sampling and unique sound design paired with hyper-detailed composition and just a pinch of ADHD. The song itself doesn’t play by the current rules of dance music; it is a brave step in the direction of radical self-expression, beautiful and chaotic all in the same breath."
The release follows the debut of DOPAMINE MACHINE VOL. 1, a 30-minute mix that officially reintroduced Ghastly to audiences through a collection of unreleased originals, edits, and visual storytelling.
Together, the mix and “Night Raid” establish the foundation for what is quickly becoming one of bass music's most notable comeback stories of 2026.
The timing is particularly significant given Crow's upcoming schedule. While he has remained active through his heavier GHENGAR project, upcoming appearances at Lost Lands and Bass Canyon will serve as major milestones for the reborn Ghastly project.
Bass Canyon is currently slated as one of the first dedicated Ghastly festival performances since the project's return, giving fans an opportunity to experience this new chapter in a live environment.
With “Night Raid,” Ghastly continues demonstrating that this comeback is about more than nostalgia. The single captures the spirit of the project's past while laying the groundwork for its future, offering fans an exciting glimpse into what comes next.
