[LISTEN] ADIDOR and Eli Matana Reinvent Dizzee Rascal’s 'Bonkers' With a Groovy Indie Dance Twist

Few records carry the instantly recognizable energy of Dizzee Rascal’s “Bonkers.”

More than 15 years after the original became a defining crossover anthem, ADIDOR and Eli Matana have given the track a fresh club-focused identity with a groovy indie dance reinterpretation built for late-night dancefloors.

Rather than simply modernizing the production surrounding the familiar vocal, the duo reshape “Bonkers” through rolling grooves, driving percussion, and a darker electronic atmosphere.

The original’s unmistakable vocal presence remains at the center, creating an immediate point of recognition before the remix pulls listeners into a completely different sonic environment.

The result bridges nostalgia with contemporary club culture. Its indie dance framework gives the track a hypnotic edge while preserving the playful, high-energy character that made “Bonkers” resonate in the first place.

Designed with DJ sets in mind, this remix feels particularly suited for late-night rooms where familiar vocals can create an instant connection before an unexpected production switch takes over.

This collaboration also brings together two artists with extensive experience behind the decks. Eli Matana has established himself as one of Israel’s most active DJs, performing more than 150 events annually while sharing stages with artists including Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, NERVO, Alok, Don Diablo, and Lost Frequencies.

A two-time DJ of the Year winner at Israel’s XL Nightlife Awards, his production background spans official remixes and collaborations across electronic and mainstream music.

Tel Aviv-based ADIDOR brings a similarly global perspective, shaped by performances across Miami, Tulum, Paris, Belgrade, and destinations throughout Europe.

Known primarily for blending Afro House, tribal rhythms, and high-impact club energy, his approach adds another rhythmic dimension to the collaboration.

Together, ADIDOR and Eli Matana turn a widely recognized classic into something tailored for a new generation of dancefloors.

Their “Bonkers” remix retains enough of the original to trigger instant nostalgia while pushing the record firmly into groovy indie dance territory.

This remix is available now to stream and download for free via SoundCloud.
