[LISTEN] Senior Massie Launches New Chapter With Debut Single 'Esta Loca'

Senior Massie has officially launched his next chapter with debut single “Esta Loca,” out now via his newly formed RNXY Records.

The Nottingham-based producer and DJ, real name Craig Massie, has spent years moving through different corners of music before arriving at the sound behind his current project.

A touring musician and professional guitarist since his teens, Massie later became increasingly drawn toward electronic production, first experimenting with dubstep around 2011 after discovering Skrillex.

“I couldn’t get my head around how you would even begin to make sounds like that, so I went down the rabbit hole,” he recalls of those early years, which eventually led him into EDM and electro house before tech house became his primary focus.

“Esta Loca” reflects this newer direction, drawing from the club-driven sound Massie has developed through an increasing fascination with Ibiza nightlife and artists including John Summit, BLOND:ISH, Nacho Scoppa, VLTRA, and Malone Morez.

The track has already earned an early co-sign from BBC Radio 1 Dance, where Jaguar featured it in May ahead of its official release.

Behind the scenes, Massie has also begun working with Finnish engineer Janne Hatula, better known as FANU, whose credits include work connected to John Summit and The Weeknd.

“Esta Loca” also serves as the first release through RNXY Records, a new imprint Massie created as a vehicle for his own music with longer-term plans to provide a platform for other emerging artists.

That vision is extending into events through RNXY Live, which is being developed alongside the label to build a local community around DJs and producers.

“I want to just keep making music, playing live and meeting like-minded people,” Massie says. “I’m really just enjoying every second of whatever journey this is at the moment.” 

With “Esta Loca,”, Senior Massie’s first release establishes the foundation for a broader artist, label, and live platform that is only beginning to develop.
