Shaquille O’Neal, widely known in the electronic music world as DJ DIESEL, has officially dropped M.D.E, a nine-track project released on Monstercat that showcases his continued influence in the bass scene.

The title stands for “Most Dominant Ever,” a fitting descriptor for a record packed with heavyweight collaborations and massive sound design tailored for live stages.

The EP brings together an elite list of collaborators, including Virtual Riot, Benda, LAYZ, IVORY, and more. DJ DIESEL’s unmistakable presence threads the entire project together, whether through vocal contributions or sheer energy embedded in the production. M.D.E reflects not only his musical identity but also the camaraderie and intensity that drive the genre forward.

Tracks like “Fadeaway” with Benda offer a standout moment, pairing DJ DIESEL’s signature vocal tone with hard-hitting drum patterns and a punishing drop engineered for large-scale impact.

Another highlight comes in “BRING THE PAIN,” where LAYZ delivers a relentless dual-layered arrangement that moves from crushing dubstep into a blistering techno groove, revealing a new edge to DJ DIESEL’s growing sound palette.

“Animal,” one of the more aggressive cuts, sees DJ DIESEL team up with SampliFire and IVORY. The track begins with a forceful intro from DJ DIESEL before exploding into high-intensity drops that deliver a jolt of adrenaline. Its sharp transitions and vocal cadence have already made it a crowd favorite in recent sets.

Also worth noting is “Throwin’ Bows” with Perry Wayne, a track built around commanding vocals and a rhythmic structure designed to provoke maximum movement. The pacing and build-up make it a natural weapon for live settings.

Reflecting on the project, DJ DIESEL shared that the EP was created not just to push volume but to unify the bass community around energy, friendship, and shared intensity. Every track was built with the live experience in mind, capturing the chaos and connection that define this scene.

M.D.E delivers on all fronts, confirming DJ DIESEL’s continued presence as both a creative force and cultural leader within modern bass music.
