Miami Music Week 2018 Event Guide
For Miami Music Week goers, it’s almost that time of the year again. Miami Music Week is one of the worlds most recognized electronic music events and it’s back for its 8th-year appearance.
This weeklong marathon runs this March 20th - 25 with event after event featuring almost every major artist in the electronic music scene.
Energized by their passion for music, the people in Miami don’t sleep, or so it seems. Imagine having 1800+ artists performing at 260+ events hosted at 80+ venues which brings thousands of electronic music lovers to gather for a week full of festivities. Miami’s club scene lies in the tucked away venues where the vibration of the sound will give you a one of a kind experience.
Prestige venues such as Club Space, Heart, The Surfcomber, amongst a wide variety of nightclubs welcome you to enjoy a week full of events in their own unique style.
Things can get overwhelming with the number of events going on, and choosing the best parties can be hard. Here is a list of Miami Music Week must-attend events.
1. Adam Beyer x Cirez
The biggest warehouse rave that Miami has to offer will be home to the now sold-out show who every techno freak is talking about. This show brings two powerhouse acts together for a night full of unreal music, Adam Beyer x Cirez show is now a reality and hopefully you are one of the 4,000 thousand lucky fans who was able to acquire a ticket.
2. Kaskade: Sun Soaked Miami
Miami it's your turn to get Sun Soaked! Multi-Grammy award-nominated singer, songwriter and producer Kaskade is bringing Sun Soaked to Miami Music Week. This event will be at 1 Hotel South Beach and its guaranteed to sell out, so grab your tickets as soon as they go on sale this Monday at 10AM EST.
3. Above & Beyond: Common Ground Miami
Closing their massive "Common Ground” North American tour, Above & Beyond is making their third appearance to headline, yet another event at RC Cola Plant. The trio is known for their amazing live acts that take their fans on a rollercoaster ride full of emotions. This time around Above & Beyond will be joined by very special guest, Seven Lions who with no doubt will play an astounding set.
4. Dirtybird Players
Save the date and be ready to get lost in the crowd for DIRTYBIRD records who is back for Miami Music Week and a must-see music event with the wildest crew in the game. Last year’s event was a success and this year DIRTYBIRD is returning to Trade to do it again but only bigger and better than before. With two rooms of action and a stacked dirty line-up that will bring the best B2B throwdown you will ever experience. Trust me you will not want to miss this.
5. Destructo Breakfast Club
An early morning affair during Miami Music Week hosted by the man himself, Destructo. He is bringing few friends along to the event that is taking place on March 24th, from 5 AM -10 AM. “Some of your best friends will be there too. You’ll even make some new friends along the way” - Destructo. With that being said don’t think twice and join a pack full of fans who will catch the good ole Miami sunrise with you over bass lines, breakfast and mimosas.
6. The 24-Hour Party: The Martinez brothers + Marco Carola
If you’re a trooper and full of energy, get ready to close out Miami Music Week in style and make your way out to Space Miami. These two marathon kings The Martinez Brothers + Marco Carola are bringing the heat on the terrace. Don’t sleep on this show and get your tickets now.
7. Anjunadeep Open Air: Miami
The annual day & night showcase returns to Miami’s Art District. While the line up hasn’t been announced yet, fans who are into a deeper and more progressive side of music are anxious to go back to this showcase full of Anjunadeep members.
8. Markus Schulz open to close/main room
Heart Nightclub is home again for Markus Schulz open to close set. Markus will take you down the rabbit hole from beginning to end, playing an assortment of tech house, trance, techno and deep house. Markus’s closing event is one of the hottest tickets for that day so get yours before its too late.
9. Justin Martin’s Life Aquatic Yacht Party
A 4-hour journey aboard the luxury Musette Yacht awaits you. Justin Martin’s Life Aquatic Yacht Party returns to the Miami waves with Ardalan, Christian Martin and on deck Justin Martin. This Wave will take you on a journey during a sunset you don’t want to miss. Beats ahoy!
10. HYTE MIAMI
The one and only event HYTE returns to Miami for Miami Music Week to take over two rooms at the infamous Club Space. HYTE is bringing a special atmosphere and a line-up to the perfect location to capture those first rays of sunshine after a hard night of dancing. Join Loco Dice, Chris Liebing, Pat-Pot and more, to a night full of grooviness.
11. All Gone Pete Tong Pool Party
2017 proved one of Pete’s biggest years and this year Tong continues his newly-established tradition of featuring B2B sets at the event, allowing for one of a kind collaborations. Featuring one-of-a-kind all B2B Lineup: Black Coffee b2b Virgil Abloh, Tiga b2b Kölsch, Black Honey (The Black Madonna b2b Honey Dijon), B Traits b2b La Fleur, Idris Elba b2b Doc Martin, Pete Tong b2b Damian Lazarus. This must-attend event of the week makes its return to its home at The Surfcomber on March 22nd.
12. Rukus Miami Showcase (Basement)
Matador’s RUKUS comes to Miami Music Week to showcase the label’s sound with an unparalleled selection of House and Techno greats. Joining Matador at Miami’s Heart Nightclub on March 23rd will be Eats Everything, Felix Da Housecat and Patrice Baumel. This Miami showcase is coming in hot and it will not disappoint you.
13. Get Lost Miami
Get Lost reveals 40 + act line-up for its thirteenth edition with a new location that offers three all night dancefloors, art installations, and secret spaces. 14. Corona Electric Beach
