CRSSD Festival Approaches With Stacked 2023 Lineup + Iconic Location
Southern California house and techno-central event promoter FNGRS CRSSD returns to Waterfront Park, San Diego on September 23-24 to host the 2023 iteration of their flagship CRSSD Festival.
This year’s sold-out event boasts yet another spectacular lineup, backed by its well-loved grassy waterfront venue in Little Italy. Powerhouse dance music acts such as Flume, Basement Jaxx, Chris Lake, Cloonee, FISHER, Amelie Lens, Charlotte de Witte, Fatboy Slim, and more are set to perform across three stages over the two-day festival.
FNGRS CRSSD lives up to their house and techno motto by booking some of the highest-quality electronic artists seen in the SoCal region, as well as many cult-favorite indie acts at their large events. This combination of musical genres with the stunning location cultivates a beachy atmosphere that engulfs the day-to-night event in a warm and carefree ambiance.
Besides the typical logistical amenities such as free water, restrooms, merch booth, and abundant food choices, Waterfront Park provides water features, fountains, grass, and a bayfront view as a foundation for three beautifully designed stages.
In previous iterations of CRSSD Festival, The Palms stage featured decks shrouded in a forest of tropical foliage, followed by a canopy of multicolored parasols above the crowd. City Steps – hosting primarily techno sets – was shaded by a striped covering and adorned by stage lighting. Lastly, the mainstage titled Ocean View is the largest structure at the festival, complete with sophisticated visual and lighting production to support its artists.
Most importantly, the 2023 lineup is stacked with a wonderful variety of musicians who create a collection of sound that perfectly encapsulates the paradisiacal environment of San Diego. The bulk of the schedule consists of house producers including Chris Lake b2b Cloonee, Fatboy Slim, LP Giobbi, TSHA, Chris Stussy, and more.
On the techno and deep house side, the festival will encompass Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens, Enrico Sangiuliano, Will Clarke b2b DJ Minx, Ben Böhmer, FJAAK, and Overmono. Flume, Elderbrook, Kučka, SG Lewis, and more round out the more experimental and indie genres.
This lineup is perfect for new fans and people wanting to discover electronic music because it offers an exciting range of house and techno without the more intense or overwhelming subgenres. CRSSD Fest 2023 is projected to be a both relaxing and playful weekend of dancing in the sunshine and visiting nearby afterparties, beaches, and Little Italy. It is the perfect way to wrap up your summer season with one final festival before the Halloween festivities take place.
