iEDM's Festival Season Guide: Top Festivals Of 2020
Festival season is finally here! As much as we wish we could attend every event, it's not possible but with careful planning, you can definitely make it to a few staples every year.
Choosing which events can be tough because some take more time, money and planning than others, especially depending on where you live. (But don't worry- we have tips for flying to a festival HERE.)
Here is our festival season guide, a complete list of all the top festivals and events for 2019! This list will be updated as new festivals are announced.
Here are the top festivals of 2020, in alphabetical order!
Bonnaroo
Filled with good vibes, beautiful art, and amazing music, this festival is the highlight of many people's year. Since its debut in 2002, Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival has reached an annual attendance of 80,000 festy goers, year after year giving us legendary acts and has received many mentions from notable outlets. This year's acts, again, has our jaws dropping, take a look at the full lineup HERE.
Breakaway Festival Series
The multi-city/multi-date festival will happen in satellite cities on various weekends. Ohio, Michigan, North Carolina and Tennessee will all host their own separate Breakaway music festival experiences with headliners such as Bassnectar, Kaskade, Zeds Dead, Illenium, Walker & Royce.
Find your Breakaway city info HERE.
Burning Man
This 10 day event is not your typical music festival. In fact money isn't welcome and it's a barter system. There isn't a schedule or set times, but instead you are fully immersed in Black Rock City for 10 days deep in the Nevada desert.
Dancefestopia
Imagine a Dancefestopia where there isn't a separation of Forest and Field camping, a Dancefestopia nestled in rolling hills surrounded by thousands of acres of forest and pristine lake water? Well, look no farther and follow the yellow brick road which will take you to the heart of Dancefestopia. The vibes that this festival brings are amazing and with such heavy lineups in the past, can only confirm that this year will be no different. Pack your bags and get ready to explore one of the best camping festivals out there.
Deja Voom
Anyone who’s been to a Bassnectar curated experience knows it never disappoints and the debut of his new venture hopefully says the same. Bassnectar’s all-inclusive destination festival takes place from February 27 - March 2 in Riviera Maya, Mexico and features 3 sets from Bassnectar himself and ambient chill-out sets as well as performances from Rezz, The Glitch Mob and a Dirtybird pool party set from Claude Vonstroke and his labelmates. The Bassnectar team will also run a green initiative during the festival that prioritizes recycling and carbon offsetting.
Dirtybird Campout
The vibes on this festival are chill, everyone is happy, laughing and dancing together all night long. Unlike major festivals, Dirtybird Campout doesn't have giant stages with crazy entrancing visuals. Instead, there are some lights, small stages, but a raging dance floor with passionate shufflers, flow artists, and wild dancers. Be on the lookout for more info about this amazing camping festival. Check out our write up on the renegade parties that made this event so special last year HERE.
EDC Las Vegas Camping
The first couple thoughts that come to mind when I think of EDC Las Vegas is hundreds of people walking around in rave gear on the infamous Vegas strip. It was last year that the brilliant team at Insomniac introduced a camping option that kept ravers from having to deal with the crazy traffic. If you're looking to experience EDC Las Vegas in a completely different way than other, then this camping option is the way to go! Stay tuned for the very awaited lineup that could be released any day now!
