[WATCH] NITTI & Mad Kelly Drop Explosive Music Video For Their Rocktronic Anthem 'Control'
In a bold move blending the intensity of nu-metal with the force of dubstep, NITTI has teamed up with Mad Kelly to release "Control," a track that delves into themes of release from toxic bonds.
This song is the latest in NITTI's journey into rocktronic, arriving alongside a visually charged music video, capturing the raw emotion and power behind the lyrics.
"Control" starts with a gritty mix of electric guitar riffs and pounding drums, setting a relentless pace. Mad Kelly’s vocal delivery transitions from a melodic cadence to high-energy scream-singing, leading into the track’s iconic command: “Take back control and get the f*ck up!”
From this climactic line, the song erupts into an intense dubstep drop that fuses bass-heavy elements with aggressive rock undertones, embodying the explosive theme of self-empowerment.
NITTI explained his vision for the song, stating, “This song was originally made to be my take on mixing Nu Metal with dubstep and mid-tempo bass music. Once the track was almost finished, I hit up Mad Kelly because I knew his voice would be perfect for it. The idea behind ‘Control’ is that it can feel impossible to find a way to exit a toxic relationship or a difficult person that has been holding you back. The track is meant to encourage listeners to let their emotions out and finally escape.”
The music video intensifies the track’s message, depicting scenes of Mad Kelly being pursued by the police, eventually being handcuffed. Interwoven are clips of NITTI, Mad Kelly, and their collaborators playing the track in a makeshift band setup while a fervent crowd of metal fans watches.
Scenes of destruction—smashing items in a rage room, tearing apart a car, and obliterating a drum set—add to the song’s rebellious spirit, reflecting the cathartic message behind the music. "Control" builds upon NITTI’s recent rocktronic releases, like his cover of Linkin Park’s “Numb” and collaborative tracks with rising artists such as BRAYTON. As NITTI continues to push the boundaries of both electronic and rock music, his partnership with Mad Kelly on this track marks another significant step in his genre-blending career.
