10 Most Anticipated Sets For EDCLV 2016

10 Of The Most Anticipated Sets For EDCLV 2016
| June 16, 2016

There’s one sky that people all over the world, regardless of who they are or where they come from, will unite under: the electric sky.

In just a few days, we will dance from dusk to dawn to the finest and funkiest of beats with over 100,000 of our friends at EDC Las Vegas. Following a massive lineup release for EDC’s 20th Anniversary, every fellow headliner began planning their schedules. With a lineup this stacked, that may cause slight anxiety (by slight, we mean major anxiety). Too many good artists, not enough time; but hey, that’s what we’re here for.

Here are 10 of the most anticipated sets that you’d honestly be a fool to miss during these 3 sleepless days of sparkly and euphoric bliss:

_______________________________________________________________

1) Tycho

Straight out of San Fran comes Tycho, who specializes in all sounds ambient and downtempo. His music will open up your mind, body and soul, as he is known for his life-changing sunrise sets at Burning Man; and for the first time ever, he’ll be playing a sunrise set at EDCLV’s cosmicMEADOW.

2) Hotel Garuda

Check into Hotel Garuda with duo Manila Killa and Sweater Weather. These boys have been best friends since middle school (#friendshipgoals) and SLAY at every festival they play with their future-bass/house sound that will make you feel a medley of emotions.

3) Eric Prydz

Honestly, there are no words that can truly exemplify what witnessing a Prydz set is like, so let’s just let this video do the talking instead:

4) Funtcase

The masked ruler in the filthiest, grimiest and heaviest dubstep, Funtcase, is coming back to Vegas following his b2b last year with Cookie Monsta; this time he’s coming solo and ready to leave the BassPOD in pieces. *cue the signature Funtcase angry claws*

5) Billy Kenny

Calling all Dirtybird’s! Following massive releases like ‘I Operate’ that became Dirtybird classics and intrigued the likes of the label’s head honcho, Claude VonStroke, Billy Kenny will deliver the quirkiest and funkiest tech house in his EDCLV debut. Check out the pre-EDC mix he made below!

6) Gaia

You’ll be in need of proper trance at one point, so naturally, you’ve got to see Gaia. Gaia is comprised of ASOT leader Armin Van Buuren and Dutch producer Benno De Goeij, and their devilish, dark and hard-hitting renaissance-inspired sets will leave you speechless.

7) Adam Beyer

If you didn’t see the boss of Drumcode, Adam Beyer, dish out a dose of heavy techno, then did you even go to EDC? Beyer played two years ago, and is coming back to transfix you with some dark beats.

8) Lane 8

Anjunadeep’s finest, Lane 8, is notorious for his emotional and melodic music that has the capability to put everything around you into perspective, so imagine feeling that sense of relaxed bliss while taking in the beauty that is EDC.

9) Pendulum

Iconic D&B/electro group, Pendulum, have been off the radar for years, until they announced a massive comeback and reunion that graced the stage at Ultra Music Festival this year. Before this reunion, only 2 Pendulum members were playing fests and shows around the world as a little duo you may know as Knife Party. Now, all of Pendulum makes their way to the west coast to take over the BassPOD.

10) Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (T-E-E-D)

This British producer takes the cake in having one of the most unique names on the lineup. Don’t let the name scare you; he obviously isn’t a threatening enormous dinosaur. However, TEED is brilliant, having an interesting electro tech-y sound with elements of UK garage incorporated into it, that will result in you getting VERY groovy.
