Gina Turner Responds After Her Holy Ship Arrest
Holy Ship 10.0 and 11.0 are underway and we couldn't be more jealous. Those lucky enough to embark this music festival cruise will be making memories for years to come. This event is known as one of the greatest parties, and hands down one of the most unique festival experiences in the world.
Unfortunately though, every year there are dozens of arrests at the port of attendees trying to sneak on illegal substances.
This year, not only did about a dozen festival patrons get arrested, but one of the artists scheduled to perform, Gina Tuner was arrested too.
Gina Turner was arrested on three felony charges in Brevard County, Florida. One count of cocaine possession and two counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
This comes as a surprise because the female artist, who was once married to Laidback Luke, is known for being promoting a healthy lifestyle. She even hosts yoga classes with Gina Turner on Holy Ship.
She has posted her $15,000 bail and has spoken out saying that the tests were a false positive for natural vitamins, and that she has a marijuana prescription.
Here is her public response below:
She tweeted that she would be back on Holy Ship 11.0 and that the charges are false. Here is a screen shot of the deleted tweet where she speaks out.
Regardless of these allegations, we wish this house music queen the best. We also wish everyone in attendance of Holy Ship a safe trip. Remember, music is the drug and you don't need substances to have a good time. Happy Shippin' fam!
