[LISTEN] Dane Carter Explores Brazilian Influences & Organic Groove on 'La Brisa' EP

Dane Carter, La Brisa EP, new music

| June 14, 2026

Dane Carter continues expanding his global sound palette with 'La Brisa,' a new EP on Tikuna Trax that draws heavily from Brazilian musical influences while maintaining the groove-driven foundation that has become a hallmark of his productions.

Built around warm percussion, melodic progression, and dancefloor functionality, this release arrives as another step forward for the French producer, whose music continues to find support across the Afro House and melodic electronic music communities.

At the heart of the project is Carter’s long-standing appreciation for Brazilian culture and music. “I’ve always been passionate about Brazilian music and culture,” he explains. “I’m also a big fan of Brazilian artists such as Maz and Antdot, who have been pioneers in blending Afro House with Brazilian musical influences. Their work has been a major source of inspiration for me throughout the creation of this EP.”

That inspiration is reflected throughout 'La Brisa,' which balances rhythmic energy with melodic warmth. Rather than relying on excessive production layers, the EP allows groove and atmosphere to drive the listening experience.

The result is a collection of tracks that feel equally suited for sunset gatherings, open-air venues, and deeper club environments.

Carter’s production process remains rooted in experimentation and refinement. “I rely heavily on sample packs, which I extensively rework and reshape to create a groove that truly reflects my own sound,” he says. “From there, I compose the chords to bring the emotion I’m looking for, and that’s when the magic happens.”

This EP adds another chapter to a career spanning more than 15 years behind the decks. Throughout that time, Carter has shared stages with artists including ARTBAT, FISHER, Alex Wann, THEMBA, Bob Sinclar, and Martin Solveig while earning support from names such as Enzo Siffredi, Aaron Sevilla, Monkey Safari, and Rialians On Earth.

His music has also appeared on respected labels including Café de Anatolia, SwitchLab, and Sunset Gathering.

With 'La Brisa,' Carter continues refining a sound that draws from Afro House, melodic house, and global influences while remaining rooted in emotion. As he puts it, “Everything I do comes from passion and emotion. I’m grateful for every step of this journey and for everyone who supports my music.”
