It’s that time of the year again where folks of all walks of life flock towards the meccas that are the top EDM festivals of the year. With a few already under our belt (Electric Daisy Carnival’s New York incarnation, Ultra Miami), the itch for festivals has not yet been fully scratched seeing as some of the best are still yet to come.

If you’re feeling less informed, or perhaps even a little out of touch from partying so hard at the festivals that have come and gone, allow us here at On Blast! to be a bit of a helping hand for you by providing this guide for the top North American EDM Festivals left to enjoy this year.

Electric Zoo

5. Electric Zoo

  • Randall’s Island, New York
  • Expected Attendance: 85,000 over the course of the entire festival
  • Dates: September 4-6, 2015
  • Headliners: Above & Beyond, Alesso, The Chemical Brothers, Gramatik.

After years of police interference, inclimate weather, and flat out shutdowns due to an outbreak of overdoses by attendees, the once seemingly untouchable juggernaut of the festival scene has taken a bit of a hit, receiving a bit of a black eye. Attempting a bit of a bounce back and rebranding, E Zoo does its best impression of the phoenix, rising out of the ashes in 2015 as Electric Zoo: Transformed. Forged with help from the folks that brought you the Sensation, Mysteryland, and Tomorrowland festivals and featuring a stacked card of performers, ravers from all around the globe are bound to set their feet on the soil of the best city on earth (which, in this case has more concrete than dirt) to enjoy another legendary Electric Zoo.

Electric Daisy Carnival: Las Vegas

4. Electric Daisy Carnival: Las Vegas

  • Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Expected Attendance: Over 100,000 nightly
  • Dates: June 19-21
  • Headliners: Avicii, Calvin Harris, Tiësto, Mark Garrix

A festival forefather with California origins, the EDC makes its stop in Sin City in just a few weeks time. An epic ode to electronic music, Electric Daisy Carnival is certainly an occasion worth preparing for - so, if you haven’t peeped our list of must have items for the event you simply must. The stacked deck of thrilling carnival rides and games, impressive infrastructure, and even more impressive and thrilling headliners make this event a can’t miss for any true EDM believer. Apparently there’s a ton of true believers, seeing as the expected turn out over the course of the whole festival approaches half a million people. That’s a whole lot of vibes!

Electric Forest

3. Electric Forest

  • Rothbury, Michigan
  • Dates: June 25-28
  • Expected Attendance: Over 50,000 daily.
  • Headliners: Skrillex, Bassnectar, Shpongle, Gramatik

If you’re looking for a marriage between children’s storybooks of old and your most psychedelic adult fantasies, then the Electric Forest is for you. Though its features may not be solely electronic music, its headliners include some of the most popular EDM acts in Skrillex and Bassnectar. Between a more-than-friendly EDM heavy lineup and a seemingly endless forest-turned-art-installation that serves as home over the festival’s span - E Forest becomes hard to deny. So, like Hansel and Gretel, follow us (and the vibes) into the woods and live out your own fairy tale.

Tomorrow World

2. TomorrowWorld

  • Atlanta, Georgia
  • Dates: September 25-27
  • Expected Attendance: 100,000+
  • Headliners: Afrojack, Tiësto, Mark Garrix, David Guetta

Awarded Best Festival in 2015 by the International Dance Music Awards, TommorowWorld - the Yankee offspring of the Belgium Tommorowland festival - has made a great impression in a short amount of time. Clocking in at the oh-so-tender age of three this year, Tommorow World transforms the seldom talked about foresty aesthetic of the Atlanta, Georgia area into a woodland palace of breathtaking concepts, designs, and performances. Perhaps the most exciting part of all of this is the fact that the complete list of headliners hasn’t even been released yet, but the bill is already looking quite undeniable already.

1. Camp Bisco

  • Scranton, Pennsylvania
  • Dates: July 16-18
  • Headliners: The Disco Biscuits, Pretty Lights, STS9, Bassnectar

Get your pencils sharpened and your ugly suit ready, because Camp Bisco is holding its first event out of New York and instead, in the home of the American adaptation of The Office - Scranton, Pennsylvania. Aside from the change of scenery, the Disco Biscuits also use the event as a way to donate to various charities - vibes don’t get much better than that. With a lineup that makes your heart swell in euphoric anticipation, it sure seems as though Bisco - after a one year hiatus - will be back in full effect in 2015.

So that’s our list of our top festivals to look forward to! Did we miss any of your favorites? Who are you looking most forward to and at which festival!? Tag us on Twitter and Instagram at #iEDM and #iEDMFAM to let us know!
