10 Artists Not To Miss At Imagine Festival 2018

This is a really special year for Atlanta and Imagineers as they prepare to celebrate Imagine Festival’s five year anniversary. Not to anyone’s surprise, through the years this festival has grown at an extremely fast rate.

Each year is exponentially better than last. Imagine Festival pays attention to the music and experiences that their patrons crave, and are known for building a lineup of high quality music with diversity that spans across many genres including Mainstream, House, Drum & Bass, Trance and Experimental Bass Music.

This year they are pulling out all the wild cards and unveiling a brand new main stage design with massive headliners like Adventure Club, The Glitch Mob, Bassnectar, Zeds Dead, RL Grimes and more. (Check out the full lineup HERE)

Below is iEDM's list of the 10 ten artists NOT to miss at Imagine Festival 2018

  

10. Liquid Stranger

Imagine Festival is welcoming back Liquid Stranger for a second year. Liquid Stranger destroyed the mainstage last year dropping his original tunes and music from artists including Space Jesus, Esseks, Minnesota and more. He has gained notoriety in the last few years as the leader of the Wakaan record label. Liquid Stranger and Wakaan are providing a platform that is finally bringing underground bass music to the surface.

 

 

9. Shlump

If you do not know who Shlump is yet, you have likely still raged to his music because artists like Minnesota, Space Jesus and Bassnectar have been playing his music out for years. Shlump, representing the West Coast Bass Culture, has been making moves with his music for years with releases on Wakaan, Sleeveless Records and Deep, Dark & Dangerous. His sets will leave you feeling like you have been beamed to another planet.

 

 

8. Yheti b2b Toad Face

Yheti and Toadface are a must see 333% of the time. These two are an inspiring pair. The brothers from Ohio have each paved their own path towards success in the music industry and are exposing experimental psychedelic bass music to the masses. They’ve had their biggest year yet performing together at EDC Las Vegas and Bass Rush Massive. Their performance will take you on a playful journey through the mind, quench your thirst for bass and leave you feeling refreshed and satisfied.

 

 

7. The Glitch Mob

The Glitch Mob’s live performances are a massive cinematic experience that transcend sound and space. At Imagine Festival in 2015 and 2016 they brought out a set of massive electronic drums shaped like jet engines covered in LEDs. They created a high energy atmosphere that combined the dynamics of live percussion and complex sound design. This will be their third year at Imagine Festival and we are anxious to see what they have in store.

 

 

6. Ivy Lab

This collaborative project is made up of two pioneers of the UK Drum & Bass and Halftime movement. Stray and Sabre each bring a myriad of influences that combines hip-hop and drum machine electronica that gives birth to an epic bass experience. Their reputation in the industry exceeds their musical accolades as they are also known for creating and operating 20/20 LDN recording label, which provides a platform for a the new generation of bass music. They have played major Festivals like Glastonbury, EDC Vegas, Shambhala, Lightning In A Bottle and more.

 

  

5. Griz

This will be a very special experience for Imagine Festival as Griz has taken a step back from touring and only hitting a select amount of festivals this summer that include Electric Forest, Dancefestopia and more. Griz has been spreading psychedelic funk and positive vibes through the EDM community since 2011. This will be his third year at Imagine Festival. His shows are lively and include a funky round of saxophone and other live instruments.

 

  

4. Koan Sound

It is a rare sight to see Koan Sound on a line up. After taking a break from touring for a few years they have finally resurfaced and hit festivals like The Untz, Infrasound and Shambhala this year. With a new album on the horizon, Koan Sound has been hopping around the country reminding us of their elegant funky sound that blends glitch hop, drum & bass and dubstep.

 

  

3. Ployd

Ployd is a pillar of the Atlanta music scene who has been holding up deep dubstep for over 10 years. He has played alongside some of the biggest artists in the industry including Borgore, Paper Diamond, Diesel Boy, Champagne Drip and more. Inspired by OG’s like Truth and Youngsta, you can expect to dive deep into the low end with Ployd and explore the darker side of Dubstep.

 

 

2. Cashmere Cat

This Grammy nominated music producer from Norway, is one of the few EDM artists that have been able to achieve success in electronic, hip hop and pop music. When Cashmere Cat is not touring or playing festivals he is producing music for artists like Kayne West, The Weeknd, Torey Lanez, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and more. His music blends the warm sounds of R&R with Hip-Hop and Pop Music that creates a soft yet bubbly sound that will reach out and grab hold of your heart.

 

 

1. Bassnectar

Atlanta Imagineers have been waiting for this moment for five years. There is no better way to celebrate success and growth than to book one of the biggest electronic artists in the country. Bassnectar will bring passionate fans from all over the country and open Imagine Festival up to new markets. Bassnectar will be sure to bring out all tricks to create an unforgettable audible and visual experience. The Bassnectar community is strong in Atlanta and are hyped to see what he has in store this time.
