10 Fall Music Festivals You Should Go To

| September 16, 2017

August is officially over, which means that festival season is slowing down. While the weather may be turning, ravers still have a lot to look forward to before winter. Before Decadence and Countdown, there are a lot of festivals and shows for ravers to enjoy.

Before you get overwhelmed by the sheer number of events (really, there are a lot) we compiled a list of our top ten fall festivals to choose from.

These festivals are scattered from coast to coast and have lineups ranging from trance to bass. Check out these ten fall festivals that you can't miss.

1. Resonance Music and Arts Festival (September 21-23)

Resonance is one of our must-attend festivals for many reasons, but foremost among them is the way that Resonance stands out. Resonance is a jam festival, featuring artists and sounds not usually seen on large festival lineups. Featuring a blend of improvisation, chord patterns and rhythmic grooves, jam music has a dedicated following. Resonance attendees have more to look forward to than music. There will be yoga, workshops, visual artist performances and art installations for attendees to enjoy. A refreshingly different festival, Resonance is one not to miss.

2. Imagine Festival (September 22-24)

Imagine will be shaking Atlanta Motor Speedway with one of the most stacked lineups on our list. Imagine features something for everyone, with sounds ranging from Pretty Lights and Deadmau5's melodies, to Datsik and Zomboy's heavy bass, everyone will find something they love on this lineup. With heavy hitters like Illenium, NGHTMRE, Above and Beyond, and Seven Lions, I seriously considered buying a plane ticket down to Georgia for this festival. Imagine is one of the biggest and the best festivals on the eastern edge of the United States, and is sure to live up to the hype.

3. Transition Festival (September 22-23)

Eugene's Cutherbert Amphitheater has played host to Mad Decent Block Party, Foam Wonderland and Dub Festival. Most recently, a new festival will be coming to the fan-favorite venue. This is the first year for Transition Festival and the festival is making a huge debut. The weekend long festival switches between electro-house and melodic tracks from Kaskade, Vanic and Said the Sky on Friday, to the heavy bass and dubstep of Zeds Dead, Ghastly and Habstrakt on Saturday. Celebrate the transition from summer to fall in Oregon with the first year of this potential-filled festival.

4.  Global Dance Festival (September 23)

Even though Global Dance Festival in Arizona has not released its full lineup, what we've seen so far makes this festival one to attend. GDF has its roots in Colorado but the satellite festival in Arizona holds its own against its Colorado sister. With trappy headliners like Flosstradamus, Showtek and Yellow Claw, GDF will bring heavy-hitting performances to Rawhide Event Center. Keep an eye on GDF's socials for the most up to date information.

5. Lost Lands (September 29-October 1)

When Excision creates his own bass festival, you know it'll be something epic. Excision pulled out all the stops with the debut of Lost Lands. Featuring the biggest names in bass music, Lost Lands will make Legend Valley vibrate. From future vibes from Rezz, emotive builds from Illenium and experimental wobbles from Liquid Stranger, Lost Lands explores every avenue of bass music. Between the heavy lineup, highly anticipated b2b of Excision and Datsik, and all the hype surrounding this newcomer to the festival circuit, Lost Lands is set to make a huge splash.

6. Suwannee Hulaween (October 27-29)

The String Cheese Incident returns as the headliner for all three days of Suwannee Hulaween. One of Florida's favorite festivals returns with an incredibly diverse and stacked lineup. This year, Hulaween sees everything from RL Grime's snappy trap to Destructo's hard-hitting bass and Claude Vonstroke's tech house. Hulaween will feature world-class performance art, creative art installations, a silent disco and a number of other activities to engage the senses of Hulaween attendees.

7. Escape Psycho Circus (October 27-28)

Insomniac returns with its favorite Halloween themed festival, Escape Psycho Circus is one of the biggest and best horror-themed festivals on the West coast. Some of the biggest names in EDM descend upon the Psycho grounds to play on stages curated by Audiotistic, Basscon, Bassrush and Factory 93. Producers from every end of the EDM spectrum will be playing the famous Psycho stages. Head over to California to see headliners like Darren Styles, Illenium, Madeon, NGHMTRE, Rezz and Slander. Psycho Circus will bring its out of this world stages, costumed performers and all the glitz and glamour that Insomniac has to offer.

8. Something Wicked (October 28-29)

There are many Halloween events to choose from, but Something Wicked is one of the favorites. For 2017, Something Wicked channels an asylum theme for revelers to wander through. Featuring top notch artists, incredible stages and a loyal following of those committed to the asylum, Something Wicked promises to be a festival not to miss. If you enjoy the scary side of EDM, definitely check out Something Wicked to experience something terrifying.

9. EDC Orlando (November 10-11)

EDC returns with its east coast edition when Insomniac descends on Tinker Field in Florida. Well known as the EDC edition with the best vibes, EDC Orlando also brings a stacked lineup. From big house kings Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, to a hyped back to back of Diplo and A-Trak, to trance superstar Gareth Emery, to Kaskade's legendary sunset set, EDC Orlando will have performers for everyone to enjoy. Featuring returnees and newcomers alike, EDC Orlando is definitely a festival not to miss.

10. Dreamstate (November 24-25)

The biggest trance festival in the United States returns to California for another Dreamstate. This year Dreamstate welcomes the State of Trance star Armin van Buuren to the Dreamstate stages, along with returnees like Ace Ventura, Ilan Bluestone, Solarstone and Vinci Vici. Dreamstate showcases all the wonders of trance in one of the only festivals dedicated to the genre. Southern California is the perfect place to go in November for a trance festival that you won't want to miss.
