5 Women In EDM To Catch Festival Season 2019

Women's history month may be coming to an end, but that doesn't mean we have to stop celebrating. There's still plenty of opportunity to honor the all the kickass women in both our lives and EDM.

As the weather starts warming up, we still have plenty of festivals lined up for you to check out these female artists who are killing the rave scene.  

 

5. DUCKY

 

SF native and LA resident DUCKY has been making splashes with her kawaii out-of-this-world aesthetic and futuristic bangers. She developed an interest in music early on, discovering the world of production at 13 and beginning to DJ at 14. Gaining popularity through posting tracks on Tumblr, DUCKY plays and produces a spectrum of genres, ranging from warehouse styles to ambient sounds. She has co-signed with the likes of Skrillex and NPR Music and recently released her first EP of 2019 I Still Believe in Love

Catch her throwing down heavy bass sets at these following festivals: Shaky Beats, EDC Las Vegas, Bonnaroo, Lollapolooza, Dancefestopia 

 

4. CRAY

Named Billboard Dance's One to Watch, CRAY and her electronic-pop style are gearing up to be hot commodities as she continues to develop her sound, from trap roots to a softer, more chilled-out pop leaning electronic music. The singer-songwriter/producer is signed to the same management team as Steve Aoki and blink-182 and has plenty of new music in the works. Her recent single "Fractions" displays her foray into an ambient style and vocal ability.

3. WHIPPED CREAM

Undeniably one of the breakthrough artists of the year, Vancouver-hailing WHIPPED CREAM has honed in an eclectic bass sound of her own and grown incredibly through the past few years into a distinct DJ and producer. Receiving heavy support from NESTHQ and signing to Prodigy Artists, WHIPPED CREAM has released a string of new music and is slated for multiple festival slots this summer.

2. Elohim 

Equipped with the voice of an angel, the catchiness of electro-pop fuse and a candidness towards mental health, Elohim has continuously proven her standing as an artist with both vision and versatility, working with electronic acts like Louis the Child, Skrillex, The Glitch Mob, Medasin and more. Having released her 2018 debut studio album ELOHIM, the enigmatic singer-songwriter/producer shows no sign of stopping with her career ready for takeoff.

1. ANNA 

Brazilian DJ ANNA exploded onto the scene in 2018, stealing the spotlight with her seductive techno sound and putting forth a collection of releases including her break-out track "Hidden Beauties" that was backed by the likes of Sven Väth, Chris Liebing, Adam Beyer and other techno giants. In 2018, she was named one of the DJs of the Year by Mixmag and chosen by Beatport as the Breakthrough Artist of the Year. With captivating sets and a penchant for dark hard-hitting techno, ANNA is quickly rising to international stardom.
