10 EDM Festivals To Attend In California

California hosts some of the finest music festivals in the country every year. California offers a unique ecosystem across the state, allowing fans to experience the sandy deserts, redwood forests, coastal beaches, and everything in between. From massive multi-genre festivals like Coachella and Outside Lands to EDM mainstays like HARD Summer and Nocturnal Wonderland, California has the perfect festival for every type of raver.

Audiotistic

Every year, Audiotistic brings the best in house, dubstep, and hip-hop to SoCal and the Bay Area. Audiotistic offers two editions across California at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheater in San Diego and Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View. Last year's lineup included performances by Diplo, Playboi Carti, Alison Wonderland, SVDDEN DEATH, Joyryde, Gryffin, SLANDER, Jauz, and more.

Beyond Wonderland

Take a trip down the rabbit hole and travel to a world beyond your wildest imaginations. Beyond Wonderland is returning to Southern California's NOS Events Center from March 25-26, 2022 with an enchanting lineup. Across six magical stages, fans will experience the extraordinary sounds of Zedd, DJ Snake, JOYRYDE, Seven Lions, Zeds Dead, Above & Beyond, Diesel, Jauz, Valentino Khan, Zomboy, and more.

Coachella

Coachella will return to its treasured home in Indio, California from April 15-17, 2022 and April 22-24, 2022. Coachella will be headlined by Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and Ye, with a special performance by Swedish House Mafia. The EDM-heavy lineup will have fans in awe with scheduled performances by Flume, Disclosure, Louis The Child, Hayden James, Jamie XX, Madeon, Lost Kings, Tchami, SLANDER, Duck Sauce, Lane 8, TOKiMONSTA, and more. Check out the full lineup below.

Countdown

Count down to 2023 at California's favorite New Year's festival Countdown NYE. Considered the largest New Year's Eve celebration on the West Coast, Countdown NYE is the place to be when the clock strikes midnight. Insomniac's alien-themed New Year's festival is an extraordinary display of interactive art, extraterrestrial sights, and galactic musical performances. Last year included sets by Deadmau5, Diplo, Major Lazer, Tiësto, 3LAU, Afrojack, REZZ, RL Grime, Liquid Stranger, and more.

Escape Halloween

There's no better way to celebrate Halloweekend in California than Escape HalloweenOver the last decade, Escape Halloween has made a name for itself as North America's largest Halloween festival. The two-night spectacle in filled with immersive experiences, ghoulish characters and costumed performers to add to the spooky ambiance of the All Hallows' Eve celebration. The 2021 edition hosted performances by The Chainsmokers, Zedd, DJ Snake, Baauer, Diesel, Playboi Carti, Eric Prydz, and more.

HARD Summer

Southern California's premiere summertime electronic and hip-hop festival is back. An EDM staple since its inaugural edition in 2007, HARD Summer will expand into a 3-day event at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, California. From July 29-31, 2022, fans can experience a bigger, better, harder edition of HARD Summer. Last year's lineup featured performances by Future, REZZ, 2 Chainz, DJ Snake B2B Malaa, Iann Dior, RL Grime B2B Baauer, Dillon Francis, and more. Fans can expect even more from Hard Summer 2022.

Lightning In A Bottle

Discover the magic of Lightning In A Bottle this Memorial Day Weekend. From May 25-30, the Do LaB led festival will nestle into the campgrounds at California's Buena Vista Lake. This year, Lightning In A Bottle will feature performances by Glass Animals, Purity Ring, Kaytranada, Chet Faker, GRiZ, SG Lewis, Big Wild, CloZee, Mr. Carmack, and more. Lightning In A Bottle will host a number of special sets including a 4-hour set by Joe Kay of Soulection and joint set by G Jones B2B Eprom, along with a Desert Hearts Lakeside Launch Party.

Nocturnal Wonderland

Nocturnal Wonderland is Insomniac's longest-running festival, making it an instant California classic. The two-day boutique festival will return to the San Bernardino's Glen Helen Regional Park from September 17-18, 2022 to celebrate 27 years of dancing in the dark. Across four stages, Nocturnal Wonderland features a wide array of blacklight art and performers. The 2021 lineup included the likes of Deadmau5, Flosstradamus, 3LAU, The Glitch Mob, NGHTMRE, Flux Pavilion, and Seven Lions, so you can guarantee that Insomniac will pull out all the stops for 2022.

Outside Lands

Outside Lands is one of the largest annual music festivals that California has to offer. From August 5-7, Outside Lands will occupy San Francisco's Golden Gate Park for three days and nights of music, art, food, and spirits. The 2021 Halloween edition included Rüfüs Du Sol, Zhu, Kaytranada, SG Lewis, TroyBoi, Shiba San, and more.

Splash House

Everyone's favorite EDM pool party is back and bigger than ever before. This year, Splash House will expand into a 3-weekend affair taking place June 10-12, August 12-14, and August 19-21, 2022. Taking place across three Palm Springs hotel resorts, fans will enjoy this house and disco wonderland. Splash House's desert playground comes complete with poolside stages and an after hours series at the Palm Springs Air Museum, and more. Past lineups have included Lane 8, Tycho, Green Velvet, TOKiMONSTA, Gorgon City, San Holo, SG Lewis, and more.
