Louis the Child Returns to Brooklyn Mirage for 3rd Alter-Ego Takeove

| July 25, 2024

The dynamic and always-evolving Louis the Child is bringing their 3rd annual Alter-Ego takeover to Brooklyn Mirage on August 17, with a diverse lineup for dance music lovers.

Few EDM artists embody the sunny and care-free vibes of summer more than Louis the Child, who are known for ecstatic bangers like Better Not and smooth grooves like It's Strange.

The open-air Brooklyn Mirage is the perfect setting for an end-of-summer blowout with friends. Get there early to stake out a spot near the stage or roam around the 80,000 square foot complex and follow the vibes wherever they lead. The venue's upstairs viewing areas provide gorgeous views of the city and the powerful speakers provide an excellent listening experience in the front or back. You know the massive screens in the main room will be put to good use throughout the night so get ready for a visual journey.

Just like last year, official Alter-Ego merch will be on sale at the venue; but it's first come, first serve, so it might make sense to get there on the earlier side.

Robby Hauldren and Frederic J. Kennet, the duo behind Louis the Child, will be teaming up with NYC hometown hero Jai Wolf for a B2B that can't be missed.

Building on the genre-agnostic lineup of last year, the organizers have added a classics set from Jon Casey, a techno set from Devault, and a throwback set from Mr. Carmack

Bass lovers are in for a treat with TroyBoi, whose Trap-suffused beats, and devilish remixes of chart-topping hits, will have heads banging.

Brookyln-based vocalist EVAN GIIA will share the stage with Memba, and Daniel Allan is going B2B with pluko. TSU NAMI rounds out the lineup of musical performances, but Alter-Ego will also feature a lineup of comedians for a unique club-going experience. Just stop over in Kings Hall if you want to take a break from dancing and have a few laughs.

If your legs get tired, abundant seating options allow you to sit and recover; the Great Hall is often converted into a rest zone with ambient music and calming visuals.

The venue has multiple food trucks to accommodate different diets. If it rains, ponchos are available, and if you need earplugs, you can find them at the merch shop or via the bathroom concierges.

Avant Gardner, the home of Brooklyn Mirage, consistently brings the biggest names in EDM to NYC. In recent months, they've diversified their events, with more shows curated by local organizers, particularly the beloved Hot Honey Sundays series. Bigger event series like City Fox, All Day I Dream, and Anjunadeep keep returning year after year.

As you get ready for the final weeks of summer, can you imagine a better way to spend a late August evening than jumping with your rave family to a Louis the Child and Jai Wolf B2B? Make sure you get your tickets now so you don't have to miss out.
