Mysteryland in Amsterdam Is Going Strong For The 24th Year

| September 15, 2017

Holding the title as one of the longest running music festivals in the world, Mysteryland continues to stay at the head of the game when it comes to their diverse lineups, curated stages, and extensive production.

Since its creation in The Netherlands in 1993, the festival has grown into a staple in the music festival industry and opened their doors to people from over 50 countries around the globe. Still to this day, getting lost in the unknown that is Mysteryland isn't a difficult task by any means, and that's exactly what we did.

In the 2017 edition, 16 stages were available for everyone's musical exploration needs. The main stage hosted some of the best of the best like a daytime Deadmau5 set, KSHMR, Yellow Claw, Axwell ^ Ingrosso, Sam Feldt, and Digital Farm Animals, as well as Dutch DJs and producers W&W, Oliver Heldens, Showtek, and Armin van Buuren

The main stage was huge, and the crowd was packed. So my friends and I decided to walk around and check out the rest of the festival. While maps were provided and there were signs clearly indicating where to go all over the festival grounds, we still managed to end up at little raves and stages that we were not initially looking for.

Walk in any direction and find yourself shuffling at a Dubfire or Carl Cox techno set in the Paradise tent, jumping around to Drum N' Bass at Andy C's curated Ram Records warehouse party, or (my personal favorite) head banging to Boombox Cartel, NGHTMRE, Troyboi, and Dillon Francis at the rowdy Mad Decent stage.

The Big Top and Q-Dance stages also brought in some overwhelming crowds of their own.

If you take the right path, cross the creek, and enter the massive, yet somehow hidden 'Big Top' tent, you can catch the musical likings of artists like Netsky, Klingande, Gorgon City, DVBBS, Chocolate Puma, Bolier, Above & Beyond and more.

The Q-Dance stage never disappoints. Their creative stage designs and hardstyle performances from top artists draws an audience that surpass any main stage crowd in size and in energy. With a line up including Wildstylez, Coone, Atmozfears, Brennen Heart, Adrenalize, and B-Front & Phuture Noize, every fist-pumping hardstyle enthusiast would be crazy not to spend their entire weekend there.

Mysteryland has something for everyone. Other curated stages worth mentioning are Elrow, Cocoon, Hospitality, Thunderdome, and Kriss Kross Amsterdam.

Mysteryland has announced their 2018 dates as August 24th - 26th at the same location. The festival is close to the Amsterdam airport, and early bird tickets go on sale September 26th, 2017 HERE. Let 2018 be the year you cross this legendary event off your bucket list.

I would like to thank the good people at Mysteryland for inviting me out to the festival. Check out more Music Festivals updates HERE on iEDM.
